We're just calling out Saban for acting like a bitch when one of his recruits flipped.
Are we talking about a specific recruit(s)? I know coaches can't publicly speak about recruits.

I think he is referring to Saban's stance/rants that verbal commits should stop the recruiting process and should honor their verbal commitments, etc.

He did say something about commitment and what it really means.

6'2" 205 runs a 4.4, i'm sure he sucks though.

Gotcha. I saw your reply in that recruiting thread. Thanks.

desire to work his way up the depth chart
is a pretty ridiculous statement.
It is, but as the rest of my post points out, that seems to be the mantra of a lot of fans, no matter the team, when something like this happens.

He handled it exactly like he was told too
I'm guessing if the Wee One told him to jump off a 20 story building, he'd do that too?

I think this puts Bama over Auburn in the "usernames referencing rival team" department.

Two words: Baldwin County. I grew up there an it's a very Pro-Bama county. Auburn isn't view well in Baldwin County. To get a player out of there is quite an accomplishment, I'm still shocked that we got Dismukes last year.

Patrick Miller lied to LSU. There you go.

I don't think Patrick Miller lied to anyone. You must not have read any of the threads. Seems like he was told he couldn't enroll early at LSU. There ya go.

completely different. He was told he couldnt enroll early so he went to AU and was upfront about it. When the rumors started about Yeldon, He denied them countless times when obviously he already knew he was going to bama

why is it so hard for you to just get over the fact that he wanted to go to bama instead of auburn...
with everything that has happened down there in the past month with the coaches leaving along with dyer i can understand why he would want to decommit...
i mean to ppl on the outside it looks like auburn has internal problems
and calling him a liar is pretty immature on your part imo

It is a verbal commitment that neither party is obligated to honor until pen is put to paper. Those are the rules of the game and everyone knows them. I don't have a problem with him changing his mind. I think he should have had the maturity to handle it better and speak with the coaches about it, but I'm not going to demonize him for making a poor decision about how to handle this situation at the age of 18.
This is pretty close to how I feel. It is not the end of the world when a teenager changes his allegiance. So he said he was going to AU and changed his mind during the silent period. No guarantees in this recruiting game and yes he might have handled it differently, but then I am not privy to all that is going on in his life. I am ready to move on and in fact have been ready for a while.
I must say since I made the choice not to invest so much of myself into the recruiting world. Life has been so much better and these type of situations have little effect.
