I was out during this situation, and I know it's a touchy subject. Just a quick reply to how this went down would be appreciated.

Well, hell. Can't blame him for switching then, right?

He lied countless times. I wouldn't have as much of a problem with him if he didn't lie all the way up to the dead period and then switch. He could've handled it alot better. He will be a stud though.

Seemed a bit immature to handle the way he did, but 18 year old kids are the usually the definition of immature. From what I have read, kid is going to be a great RB. I don't think the vitriol from some AU fans is warranted or fair.

I won't apologize for these instances no matter which school is spurned or benefits. These supposed "men" are 18 and should honor their committment. If you arent willing to live through with your choice do not make one until you are certain.

It is a verbal commitment that neither party is obligated to honor until pen is put to paper. Those are the rules of the game and everyone knows them. I don't have a problem with him changing his mind. I think he should have had the maturity to handle it better and speak with the coaches about it, but I'm not going to demonize him for making a poor decision about how to handle this situation at the age of 18.

His parents should be blamed as much as him. No way I'd let my kid do what he did. Just completely classless.

After coaches stop pulling offers, you can start in on those "men".

Kid obviously had no heart, or desire to work his way up the depth chart. We don't really need him and he isn't that good anyway. He should have been a "man" and told Chizik personally.

Not how I feel, just paraphrasing some of the Bama fans on here when Craig Sanders changed his commitment. And honestly, that seems to be what every set of fans declares when a kid changes his verbal. He's 18, changed his mind and is going where it best serves his interests. Good luck to him. If he doesn't want to be at Auburn, there is no reason to want him there.

We also live in America. You know, a free country and shite. He didn't sign a contract. There wasn't any binding agreement. We have clients that change their mind all the time and I don't go around town calling them liars. He is free to change his mind. You ever changed your mind?

TJ needs to look out for #1. I don't blame him for going to bama, you guys have a shortage of backs, and he'll play early. We're just calling out Saban for acting like a bitch when one of his recruits flipped. That's all.

I get all the "Benedict Arnold" talk, I understand why they feel that, but:

quote:

desire to work his way up the depth chart

is a pretty ridiculous statement. He didn't decide to go to some small time program, to become a "Big Fish in a Small Pond"

Alabama (like most of the big time schools) have plenty of quality depth at RB. He's going to have to do some work to get 3rd or 4th string in his first year.
