I'm surprised a gump hasn't started a thread about it yet.

Which board would you like it on?

all the while they are clamouring for top players in Texas to be "leaders" and join the family to become Tigers.
Clamoring*
And where is anyone saying they are going to be "leaders" if they leave their state? And why do you care?
State pride is irrelevant in Texas when you can proudly play for UT, Baylor, and TCU

What about Mississippi? Is Willie Gay a turncoat for wanting to leave his state?

Not only his state, but his hometown.
Just like, you know, Chris Allen and Dylan Moses. Strange, huh?

There's Ole Miss and Miss State so the point still remains. There is no such thing as "state pride" if you just flip from Ole Miss to the Dawgs
LSU is directly tied to the state. There's really not a program like it unless you want to include Montana, Wyoming etc. but, those schools aren't worth a shite to begin with

You have a point there. Everyone in Starkville should be pissssed if he left. Same thing with Rashaan Evans at Auburn.
But you can go frick yourself if you think LSU fans are playing the narrative that these kids should leave because they'll be "leaders" if they leave state.
That's just made up gump talk

No. You (not you, necessarily, but some LSU fans for sure) are saying they are followers for going to Bama and they are NOT leaders for staying home. The reverse would then be true for any out of state kids who choose to go to LSU.
Also, your fanbase often says these kids are going to ride the bench and be processed at Bama but that they would play right away at LSU. The implication here being they aren't good enough to play at Bama but they are at your school. That doesn't sound like much of a selling point.
And you guys are notorious for the "tiger bait", "not welcomed back in that boot" type of posts when a kid chooses to leave the state. It's clear some of your fans really don't care about the kids at all but only how those kids will impact your team for 3-4 years.

I don't why you're so obsessed with this "leaders" shite but, I don't see anyone saying that.
I think you're just putting words into our fanbase's mouth because of the false projection you make us out to be based on a message board called Tiger Rant

A lot of talent has been squandered at Alabama. That's not something LSU points out exclusively

I don't get why you're so upset with us calling a kid "tiger bait" for leaving the state. If a recruit leaves, there's no reason to celebrate him. I guess you wouldn't understand because you share a state with another power 5 program

LSU squanders as much talent as any team out there

I can imagine most of your fan base thinks exactly like this. Yall want the parents to leave the state with the recruit....sad.

The whole "Stay in your home state and play for LSU or GTFO" sentiment is a very big deal to most LSU fans.
So how do y'all reconcile that with what's going on with Travis Etienne?
A 4 star RB from Jennings, LA that LSU didn't offer until they were out of the running for Cam Akers - an out of state RB.
If y'all are going to demand in-state football players stay home and play for LSU, why did y'all slow play a hometown kid chasing an OOS player?
And now looks like y'all are not going to get either of them.

All this shows is truly how pathetic, delusional and entitled your fanbase actually is.
Every other team has to share within their state so they can't get everybody and programs outside the state still take players.
You guys don't share with anyone and you cry like bitches, calling players traitors and kicking them out the state if they don't sign for your team. Ironically this only occurs with the best players, you don't care where the lower rated ones go.
Hypocrites.
It's shameful and pathetic. Will be a black eye on your program in the future.

“Mainly because, probably, every year … they’re beating LSU. And they’re winning national championships,” Allen said on the Culotta & The Fan show on 104.5/104.9 ESPN-FM in Baton Rouge. “Even though this year they didn’t win it, they made it there. They made it to the big game. So, that’s a huge attraction.”
Just saw this thread and not reading all the way through it so someone may have already opined this way. It really isn't a shot at all and I would say if he meant it in any way, he meant it more as a compliment than a shot. He's saying that Alabama is beating their best competition every year and that was a factor in his decision.
Especially since he said this on a Baton Rouge talk show. Brutal? Hell no. Not even a shot.
Dumb.
