According to Culotta & The Fan both parents want him @ LSU.

Still don't think he goes to LSU though.

4-star JACK Christopher Allen (Baton Rouge, La.)

One of the most important items for Alabama to accomplish this weekend was locking in one of its top commitments. It would appear as if the Tide checked the box on this.

?Christopher Allen doesn’t look like he’ll flip to LSU, especially because the Tigers are confident they are getting two other linebackers, Jacob Phillips and Willie Gay. (Sam Spiegelman/SEC Country)

One source close to the Alabama program told SEC Country that “Chris Allen is locked in.” The 4-star linebacker from Baton Rouge, La., visited LSU the previous weekend, which obviously scared some Alabama fans. Allen was originally supposed to visit Tuscaloosa the previous weekend, but he rescheduled his visit for this past weekend. That was because there was only one visitor that weekend in Tuscaloosa and the staff wanted him there this past weekend because the majority of Alabama’s commitments were going to be on campus.

Despite Allen’s recent visit to LSU, the feeling around the Alabama program was that Allen was more locked in than what those in Baton Rouge were saying.

Allen told SEC Country before he committed to Alabama that out of all the coaches he communicated with, he was closest with outside linebackers coach Tosh Lupoi. He’s also said that he feels like Alabama presents the best opportunity for development.

None of that was anything of note.

He's locked from what he said months ago and because we are confident in two other lb's?

That doesn't make any sense. Not a single quote, insider wink, or official confirmation.

No, that was just lazy click bait.

I'm not as confident in Phillips being that he left Baton Rouge still committed to OU.

Recruits rarely flip during a visit. They usually decommit shortly after if they are going to and either commit to a new program later in the week or wait to sign on NSD without officially committing somewhere first.

One of our "insiders" posted yesterday that Allen firmed up his commitment on the visit too FWIW.

This is typical rah rah stuff from insiders to get clicks and upvotes. If someone is truly firm they would come out and say it. I dont think Allen flips, but stuff like that is always nonsense. If he "firmed it up" then why hasn't he said a word yet? Just come out and say I'm going to Bama end of story.

He said on a Baton Rouge sports radio show that his commitment to Bama was firm before his visit to Tuscaloosa. Let it go, he's gone. I hope the staff will focus their efforts of Phillips and Gay. Congrats on the 789th stud backer Bama.

I have almost 0 doubt he sticks, Saint. All I'm saying is that "insider" post was pure speculation and click bait. It told us nothing new, and projected his decision based on LSU pursuing other LB's. LB's we desperately need. If we are to run a 3-4 we need 4 LB's on the field now.

You are thinking logically. 17-18 year old kids aren't always logical.

Najee Harris was on the phone with Michigan telling them he didn't know where he was going while boarding a plane to Birmingham.

Also, our Scout writer's sources are adamant that Allen is firm and that Allen was recruiting Moses to Bama when Moses was committed to lsu.

It's time for LSU fans to let this kid go. LSU is in it for 3 other very good LBs.

Don't buy that BS for a second.

He also just tweeted about LSU whiling being stuck in the ATL airport due to delays. Might make you think twice about leaving home.

I do. Allen was open in his process saying that Bama was his favorite team growing up. Moses was recruiting for LSU last summer, wouldn't be surprised one bit if Allen was recruiting Moses to Bama. Either way it doesn't fuching matter, they're both gone. Who cares.

Devil's advocate, but he did just spend a weekend with a kid who likes to troll. (Moses)
