Alabama commit, Baton Rouge native takes brutal shot at LSU

quote:

“Mainly because, probably, every year … they’re beating LSU. And they’re winning national championships,” Allen said on the Culotta & The Fan show on 104.5/104.9 ESPN-FM in Baton Rouge.

“Even though this year they didn’t win it, they made it there. They made it to the big game. So, that’s a huge attraction.”

Not really brutal. He's just stating facts.

You won't see an LSU fan disagree. Saban has a machine going that everyone is envious of. Hurts even more given the LA connections he established while at LSU.

One can argue though that if these same players Robinson, Collins, Allen, Moses, and Greg Robinson of AU had stayed in state and gone to LSU then LSU would be in a similar position. Thing is Miles had little to no backup plans if he failed to land top prospects. Orgeron has those backup plans in place thankfully. We lose Allen and Moses we can still land at least one of Phillips, Gay, and Brooks.

Yea, have fun watching games from the bench for 3 years... I would think he would rather be on the field getting live game experience during that time.
Plus his family could attend his games.

Yeah no idea why this is considered a shot or is brutal. He's stating facts. Like always I would love him here, but I really don't blame him for choosing Bama, or anyone else for that matter. That's what happens when you win.

ah yes, the old "you're not good enough to play early at Bama, but you are good enough to play early here" sales pitch. must work like a charm. I'm sure Ridley, Hurts, Jacobs, Diggs, Wilson, Fitzpatrick, and all the other kids who played as FR could be used as evidence that if you are good enough, you will play.

Does his family not own a vehicle? They can attend all of his games in Tuscaloosa too.

I wouldn't worry if I was an LSU fan. In a couple years, they'll drop O & hire a real coach. By that time, hell be able to peddle some Saban retirement rumors & they'll stop getting cucked on most of their local kids.

LSU actually has a rather large OOC schedule the next two years since we play in Gainsville twice.

This fall it's at

@BYU in Houston
@State
@UF
@BAMA
@Ole Miss
@ UT

That's absolutely brutal for travel.
