I think that, again, you're seeing what you want to see.

Do we want Kailo? Yes. Do we want him that "bad"? Not really. It's just that most of our class is already in place, so we're fighting hard for the few final spots we have left.

Yes, you want him bad. At least as a fanbase - your beat writers - your alumni. Can't speak for your coaches.

As impractical as it is, it seems some Ole Miss alumni see Kailo as a must have. They don't want a 4* with family roots at Ole Miss to attend MSU. Understandable to an extent. There is alot of stuff going on with his immediate family members that confirm the extent to which OM would like to have him...cards they don't play on just anyone.

On the flipside, State's fanbase is absolutely terrified at the thought of losing him...not because they think he's going to be a great college player, but because of what they "think" it signifies if he flips to Ole Miss.

The whole situation is a bunch of blown out of proportion ridiculousness. Dodson will have a superior college career - As will Ashton Shumpert(although not guaranteed to be at rb).

Going to need a judgement call from WiO on whether this guy counts as legit recruiting success for MSU?

#2 JUCO receiver in the country per 24/7 composite - originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Smith and Chappelle are both solid recruits.

Maybe as a whole, but I'm not.

Agreed. If he's as dedicated to track as I think he is, I don't see him being anything but a special teams player and a change of pace type guy. I just don't see him being an every down back if he stays 180. Not to say I wouldn't take him, but he's not nearly as big of an addition as say, Shumpert.

Well yeah, but only to give us more shite-talkin' ammunition.

KAILO GON' FLIP has taken on a life of its own.

As you said, you can't speak for the coaches.

Same here. I think this whole thing is absolutely ridiculous...

Kailo - to me - is similar to Ryan Buchanan. Someone who is incredible with shorts on during the summer playing 7 on 7, yet has never shown me anything on an actual football field that implies eminent success at the next level...

Your reading comprehension still blows. I never said anything negative about your JUCO commits or targets. State is obviously recruiting well in the JUCO ranks. My critism has been that if you don't land 2 out of the 3 (Dobbs, Ramsey, Shumpert) then your HS class is weak (SEC standards) especially if Kailo flips. I said verbatim that if you land two or three of those HS kids along with some solid lower ranked HS kids and your high ranked JUCO's, then you have a very solid class. If not, your class is built around 1 star and juco's.

You didn't pay attention to the rest of what I said - which is factual. It goes much deeper than message board fodder with prominent alumni on your side.

And I say that you are still cherrypicking by breaking a class down into smaller pieces. It is akin to saying that our class last year was mediocre simply because the offensive recruiting sucked(it did). You can afford to miss on individual aspects, as long as you don't miss on them twice in a row - hence why we're so offense-heavy in this class after being defense-heavy last year.

It's still a moot point - we're going to end up with 4-5 difference makers from the highschool ranks.

We could finish with 12 four star recruits

QB- Cord Sandberg
QB- Josh Dobbs
OL- Jake Thomas
OL- Deon Mix
WR- Corey Smith
RB- Ashton Shumpert
RB- Kailo Moore
DE- Chris Jones
DE- Zadarius Smith
LB- Tommy Sanders
LB- Myles Jack
DB- Justin Cox

I did. My point is that I don't care. My point was that I don't think our coaches want him as badly as many think they do. They want him, but he doesn't make or break the class.

But you just said that "you wish we could recruit like Ole Miss does" in this very thread.

My point that lit this whole thread on fire is that we are, in fact, recruiting like Ole Miss does, and will finish with similarly elite classes(by MSU and OM standards).

The rivalry is going to get nastier before it gets better. Hopefully, Slive's "rules" of sending violations through the SEC offices before anything gets turned over to the NCAA keeps us both off crippling probation. In the past, we've loved trying to hold each other down, instead of just both rising up to our potential.

Maybe he thinks building a class full of HS prospects that everyone in the country wants instead of kids who's best offer is state and Juco players. Yes this is a small troll but it downst mean its not true
