The only player that we really wanted badly and lost out on in this past class was McMillan

And Fournette, and Thomas, and probably others but those two immediately sprang to mind

Article only mentions two players that they have absolutely no chance with. Who else have they offered anyway?

Only ones I know for sure out of the 13 are:

Walker
Thomas
Brown
Atkinson
Edoga

A best case win scenario would be stealing a nice DE prospect and a lower level linebacker

Texas high school coaches generally stack the best talent on the offensive side of the ball, but there's still elite defensive talent.

We've pulled in elite out of state talent recently from AZ(Allen, Cunningham) CA(Larue), LA(Speedy), GA(Jaquay Williams) but it's been all on offense. Elite out of state defensive recruiting would take A&M to a different level

Texas and parts of Louisiana will always be the prime recruiting zone, but cherry picking territory is SoCal/Arizona to the west and Georgia/Florida to the east

We offered a bunch while we were there for the bowl. Got them to come to the game and maybe even practice too.

You finished 3rd in the West last year and 4th this year. Yep. You guys are coming on strong!

Seems like a reasonable response to saying we offered recruits and had them come to a practice.

You seem pretty obsessed with flaming Ags on the recruiting board. Did an Ag frick your mom or something?

meanwhile BAMA, TENN ,Aub, LSU and ARK are carpet bombing offers out to Texas kids on the reg. And I Doubt many of those offers are committable. Nature of the beast.

Georgia is right behind the Big 3 as far as talent so it shouldn't be shocking that we put some offers out that way.

Nobody actually owns the state of Georgia, not even UGA much less TAM.

You got some prospects to go to your practice in their own state is the definition of ownership

just proof that Ga. puts out some of the best talent in the nation year in and year out. I bet we put out the best talent vs. the amount of players in the state. we are 4th in the coutry behind texas, cal, florida all atleast twice the size of Ga.
