Hey, just because I prefer a tender, buttery filet doesn't mean I won't settle for flank or skirt steak every now and then.

If you consider Houston and Dallas "East Texas", which they aren't, then 98% of recruits in Texas are from "East Texas" and you certainly don't own it. East Texas is Beaumont up to Texarkana, schools like Carthage, Whitehouse, Ozen, the Tyler and Lufkim areas

Even when you don't try, you somehow troll every fanbase you talk about.

Yeah such a terrible team, too bad we can't finish third or fourth in our division with a Heisman trophy winner at QB, what an embarrassment...

I don't want to turn this into a semantics session, but when Texans refer to "East Texas" they generally mean Texarkana, Longview, Tyler, Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Beaumont(sort of), Orange, Port Arthur(sort of), and all places in between NOT named Houston or Dallas. If we mean Houston or Dallas we say "Houston" or "Dallas." If we mean some other unspecified place in the Piney Woods or Crockett National Forest area, we say "East Texas."
Got it?
Got it?

I'm not going to insult anyone, Choctaw. If that's your gig, have at it.
But Dallas and Houston are not considered east Texas.
You could try to argue Houston, but few natives will agree with you.
No big deal.
