No, it wasn't about arrests. It was about coaching discipline, which was a problem according to your own posters. Not now of course.

So reporters dig into something that wasn't there? Report didn't show anything.

Thank you.

Sounds to me like it wasn't reporters, but security themselves. It could be the reporters brought it up and the police had to act. Props to Gus on that one.

So Gus made a mistake...he is human.

He gave a kid he had coached a chance...kid lied to his face, the next day Gus kicked him off the team...end of story.

Since Dec., AU has not had issues with thier team that has made it to the media so this is the only incident that can judge Gus' HC authority towards discipline. I'd say a 24 hr turnaround of dismissal for lying is pretty damn strong.

Agreed. He was lied to.

so you bring up the fact that Auburn isn't the right place for him b/c of discipline, then you take the high road?... Come on... is LSU (his previous commitment) not good for him b/c Jeremy Hill keeps beating up bouncers?... what about Bama b/c TPOS's are running around punching guys in the face and stealing their ACT cards?

Your deflection is cute but I addressed your question pretty clearly.

you clarified your point after making a very "SECrant-ish" statement.

I don't see Auburn being the place for him at all, I think he needs WAY more structure than that if he's going to succeed.

Then you came back and said no program could offer him enough discipline.

I haven't kept up but saw LSU fans saying, after promising that DW would be in P&G and he just wanted to get a few recruiting trips out of his decommitment, that DW was actually forced to avoid LSU because of threats on his life.

Where did this info come from and has it been verified?

His cousin was supposedly killed, and the killer left a note saying D'haquille Williams would be next. I've also heard that he's been living in California, or another state altogether. Luckily, he can enroll in December and get away from all of that nonsense. Even if he's one and done, he's an immense talent, and we've never had a recruit this highly touted at any position, IYAM.

It came from the LSU mods on both of their sites a few weeks ago. It sounds like a serious situation, so I don't think they'd just make it up

How was this info verified? It seems a little out there. If this is true, it would be interesting to know why the threats would be levied against DW and what he is involved in, if anything.

I'm not discounting it, but I don't buy shite mods sell either. Those same mods guaranteed this was just about wining and dining not long ago as well.

I doubt it is entirely made up, but could be embellishment through rumor or information being distorted as it is passed along.

Yeah, Cam Newton was a 5 star on Rivals, which is higher than D'hquille Williams, but I like using 247Sports as a measuring tool. I don't know, it's pretty close.

Cam Newton definitely had more hype, IMO.
