what I do see is UF articles quoting his QB coach as him going to UF and his head coach saying UGA.

That same coach gave an interview to UGA reporters the same week as the UF article that was blowing sunshine our way as well. He also hasn't coached him in several months. I doubt he's that reliable. Eason's head coach on the other hand has been in close consistent contact with him and has never wavered on where he thought he would go. You do the math.

There are so many factors pulling him in different directions. I guess we'll see what he chooses soon

The biggest being the relationships he has built with the players in his class. Eason not only has been committed for 18 months to UGA, but has been actively recruiting others to join him. He has gotten close with a bunch of UGA recruits...much closer to anyone at FL other than the girl Im sure he spunked all over her face, but relationships matter with the players more than the coach imo. I'm sure Smart already has an OC in mind. All its going to take is a good weekend with his other UGA buds to seal the deal.

Like 10% he flips...but more likely 5%

No he doesn't. he makes it seem 50/50 at best.

His HS coach makes it seem 90/10.

I have been consistent in saying the kid is obviously looking for any and every reason to stay at UGA cause that's where he has been committed forever now (and good from him). Like shootin fish in a barrel for Kirbs.

However, we may have the last laugh doggies. You all assume that girl was clean? We brought him to Gainesville for biological warfare reasons. The clap is coming for Eason...............

from his HS coach (not the QB teacher who blows in the breeze every interview):

" I think Florida is certainly attractive, as is Washington, but I think they're probably a distant second or third right now unless things change here in the next couple of days.""

As we've known all along...don't hire some weird arse OC and we're still fine.

Big Ben Cleveland - "I think this weekend, he just wants some more reassurance about his commitment to Georgia," Cleveland said. "I have been talking to him pretty regularly, and I feel he is still 100 percent committed to the University of Georgia and this 2016 class. I feel this weekend will be more of a reassuring factor for him."

Yeah. He should be reassured that his OC is... Oh. Wait.

Still think he heads to UGA or Washington.

How would Florida fans feel if they couldn't even flip the kid without an offensive coordinator in place?

I honestly don't know much about him other than the obvious, a supremely talented QB. But not getting him doesn't look any worse on our part than all the other schools on his offer list, which I am sure is looooooong.

Our coaches look to have made a solid effort to land a kid that was committed to UGA for 18 months. Can't blame them for trying.

Florida losing Eason wouldn't create the same commotion as if we lost him. UF already has Franks in the bag.

Also, Treon.

Although Franks isn't supposed to be nearly as polished it does feel like we are playing with house money regarding Eason.

I have tried to be patient with Treon, but good lord he is horrible. But in the end it's really not his fault. I blame Grier for being an idiot.

Not looking at you because you seem to be level headed, but some here and on 247 can't seem to fathom the thought of him turning down Mac and Nuss, especially if we don't have some on officially announced at OC. That scenario is 100% possible on likely at this point. We'll see though.

From Tyler Simmons dad...

quote:

A hire or two could be imminent, according to Tyler's dad.

"The plan is to have someone in place this weekend because Jacob Eason and the other mid-year kids are coming in, so they want to have that in place so everybody will know who the defensive coordinator and offensive coordinators are," Simmons said. "The plan is to have them by the weekend."

While I think they are better choice over smart doesn't mean Jacob will he's been committed for so long sticking with Georgia has to be the more likely scenario

Plus we got franks who's basically a 5 star himself and his back up enrolling early

Will Grier and Luke Del Rio become options next year too while for UGA it would be a huge kick in the nuts they'd have to grab another transfer or something

Lol Mac trying to load up on quarterbacks after that shite show with treon

LOL. This is all a matter of perspective. You'd not be saying this if UF and UG were switched in positions and Eason was committed to UF for a year or more.
