Apparently the Eason's are attending the High School Heisman Ceremony. I don't really know why, he isn't a candidate

From @Atlantasportsguy: UGA QB recruit Jacob Eason will not be attending the senior gala at UGA as he was expected to. It's down to Florida and UGA for him.

Y'all really suck at reading full reports.

It was an AJC clickbait article. Still going to be in Athens, but recruits aren't going to the actual banquet.

Well if Eason isn't coming to the gala. It's over. Pack it up boys, time to go home. This gator has done his research and it proves Eason won't be a dawg.

...because he's not a senior.

He IS attending the gala, which is a full day affair. Eason, nor any of our recruits, will attend the senior banquet/dinner.

Stupid arse tweet, uninformed of course, with info taken from a poorly worded and intentionally misleading AJC article.

Eason is sticking with UGA. He's been committed there for 18 months and is going there for a final visit. Not sure why all the Gators are thinking we get him. We are a backup plan at best.

I'm pumped about Franks myself.

I don't blame people, I try my absolute best to not read any AJC articles.

The reason for this recent round of freaking out is because we're doign the gala different than we ever have before due to the circumstances. While the seniors are having their formal banquet, all the recruits will be somewhere else with kirby while richt will be at the banquet. It's the best way to let richt have his time with his [former] players, while still letting kirby do his thing. And as mentioned, this is a full day experience.

Saying "eason isn't going to the gala" is just so unbelievably misleading, and knowing the ajc it was certainly intentional.

Eason is supposedly already on Washington's campus taking an OV. 48 hours.

Timing wise I am not sure how McElwain is going to visit between UW and UGA OVs.

That is why I mentioned OVs are 48 hours. Hopefully, Eason has been on UWs campus for at least a day.

And it would be Mac's in home visit not an OV.
