Seriously? We acknowledge he's under the radar. He will have a tough time qualifying as well. But when have NG prospects been highly rated? I'll answer. Never...

Joke wasn't funny in the other thread and it's not funny in this one.

You're not very good at this.

About a week ago, Brandon Harris tweeted that he had a feeling OJ Smith and he would be attending the same college; so it's possible that Bama made a push for him after that

Saban would not have offered if he did not think this this kid was a good prospect. Bama does not need to offer two schollies to get a player.

Yeah, Saban is desperate. That's what he is: desperate. Trying to pull the Tide out of the huge recruiting fiasco of the last five years. Spot on.

This commitment has absolutely nothing to do with LANDING Harris

Let me connect the dots for you:

Bama staff was recruiting Harris

Bama staff went to school to see Harris

Bama staff caught a glimpse of a large NG type DL OJ

Bama staff inquired and found out the kid had moved from Muscle Shoals and grew up in Al around a lot of fam still in AL as a Bama fan

Bama offered and he committed

I will also add that Bama has all but wrapped up a 5* and one of the nation's top QB prospects with Cornwell from OK and we will likely be taking 2, could that 2nd be Harris? We will have to see, but an offer to OJ Smith had nothing to do with trying to lure Harris in any way, staff saw a kid at NG size they liked (which is rare) thanks to evaling Harris and offered simple as that

I will just say this. Whosever commit that Bama happens to accept in May or June, may find out they are were the 26th commit come January. SO it doesn't surprise me that Bama would accept his commit now in case he blows up and qualifies. If he does, great. If he doesn't, Bama will just jettison him at some point.

Because Bama is the only school that does that. Somebody hasn't been following recruiting long.

Actually, Bama made contact with Smith 1st and was actually at their A-Day game.

And they both go to separate schools FWIW...

I wasn't going to say anything, but yeah.

Either way though, Airline and Parkway are both going to get a visit on the same day from whoever has got that territory.

yeah I didn't realize it was seperate schools but close

That's how little I know about Omega

Under The Radar but so was Paige in a sense last yr

Project do you know if the grades thing has anything to do with him possibly moving to the area missing some part of a yr or just dismal grades

Seems like he is genuinely excited about the offer & being a part of this class so I hope he can get his act together to qualify
