Aaron Burr probably wouldn't make a great QB.

I don't think anyone can hear or read the name Aaron Burr without mentally saying AAHWON BUHH since that commercial came out.

We run a pro style offense. The next duel threat QB we take will be the first.

Kid is pass first and has a very strong arm. He is listed as dual threat just because he can run really well if he has to.

I am trying to think of Bama dual threats and I think you may be right. Star Jackson maybe? I thought you had a couple duals in there...

Rivals has him listed as pro style, but who knows he never saw the field.

Fanuzzi was the closest thing to a dual threat Saban has taken, he was meant to run the Rice Spread.

Star Jackson was a former WR, but he wasn't that great of a runner in HS. He timed well, but he just wasn't a runner. Cooper Bateman has some legs on him, and they were probably more potent than his arm Senior year.

Yeah I remembered Star had some wheels but no shake.

He looks bigger than 305 to me.

I guess it's impossible that we took this kid simply because he has prototypical 3-4 Nose Guard frame. 66 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, and 4 forced fumbles last year as a Junior. Nose Guard prospects like this don't just grow on trees, but obviously Saban has an evil scheme.

Well this completely throws me off. I thought we were after Matt Elam or Charles Mosley (maybe OL?) for NG. This reminds me of taking underrated kids like Brandon Ivory or Darren Lake and molding them into NGs.

The qb with the last name Sims that was competing for the starting job with AJ Mcarron wasnt listed as a dual threat?

Phillip Simms had no wheels whatsoever.

It always made me laugh when the media would refer to Jamrcus Russell as our athletic QB and Matt Flynn as our pocket passer.

Elam is #1 for NG, though they seem to want 2 this year.

Smith brings something different to the table than Elam. Sorta like Dareus, at least that's what he was told by Saban.

Phil Simms even had better athleticism than Phil Sims.

Aside from melanin and hair style, that's roughly what I would look like throwing a football. That kid was a D1 QB?

It's like that kid we got from Mississippi that ate his way out of a scholarship at least two different schools.
