Fields appears to be a dawg.

I wouldn't go that far yet, but it does mean that UGA's staff is confident.

what I've been told up here is that Corral attempted to commit to UGA.

That can be interpreted that either UGA already HAS Fields, or that Smart prefers Fields and will wait for him to decide.

I tend to think it's the latter. Personally, I don't think Corral is a 5* QB. There are a handful that I'd say are better than he is, potentially.

"appears" Crow, "appears" lol

I mean a Rusty CB is the closest thing a UGA fan has to a very solid prediction in the crazy land known as college football recruiting.

He also only is hearing from Georgia-leaning sources. He may be completely right, but I gotta think there's a reason why Florida is considered by many to be the team to beat. I still would be shocked if he ends up at UGA. It would be an incredible recruiting win for Kirby if he pulled it off, I just don't see it happening.

I think it's a more complicated decision than what most are seeing. UGA makes a ton of sense for his family.

Never know what's going on in a kids life. I respect him for how he's handled the process and for what an impressive kid he is, regardless of whether he chooses Florida or not.

I think were stupid if we wouldn't take his commitment because we want to wait and see what Fields is going to do.

not if you're not sold on Corral (which I don't think you should be).

I think he ends up a mid 4*.

Haven't offered him a scholarship, as far as I know.

Fields is the only guy we're after. If we miss on him, I think we go back and try to flip Joe Milton from Michigan or Jarren Williams from Kentucky, and maybe even that Corral guy.

I think we're pretty much all in on recruiting Fields.

A Florida "insider" went on the Chuck Oliver Show yesterday and said that from everything he's been hearing, he thinks it's a Florida-Auburn battle, Jimbo and Fields didn't hit it off, and he doesn't think UGA will land him. He said that he thinks it's significant that the mom went to his UF visit with him, but who knows, we'll see.

Rusty Mansell put a CB in this morning for Fields to UGA

Lots of chatter running around.
Think it ends really soon, but this one has been fun to watch.
I heard the same about FSU trip, but with that note that was it would be over next week..... At least until whatever next happens lol

Florida's 247 guys said he's going to take another set of visits in July before deciding, so we'll see soon enough. I think every team still feels confident at this point.

Sounds like the same "UF Insider" who tweeted out in 2016 that Eason had silently committed (or announced such to players in Gainesville)...
Seemed that his experience w Jimbo and FSU went very well, and makes this "Insider" seem esp suspect.
FSU seems to be the new leader, at least IMO (and many others), w UGA holding a legit shot.
Cam or no Cam...AUbbie seems far-fetched. He's really taking a cerebral approach to this, and if he's actually evaluating this decision as he explicitly stated---then AU, at best, would need to prove something w their new OC (and delay his decision beforehand), to prove he wouldn't be a complete project at the NEXT Level (for an NFL team drafting him to start from ground zero on Pro-Style QB'ing).

I'm expecting it to be a surprise to everybody. You know how kids do these days. He's loving the attention right now. Whatever school he ends up with won't hurt his chances of making it to The League because he's already on the NFL watchlist for being a highly ranked recruit. The schools he's picking from have the athletes to put around him to help him ball.

FWIW the Eason "silent commit" b.s. was reported by the school paper (The same guy who replaced Abolverdi at the Sun) as "players told me that he told them he'd come to Florida" which I'm sure actually happened. Hell, I'm sure if we got you down to Gainesville all liquored up, smoked out, and laid you'd swear off your fandom in the heat of the moment. Anyone who actually put stock in it was a moron though.

I respect a recruit who can drink Gator liquor, smoke Gator weed, screw Gator women and then say see ya later alligator.

Auburn is the only program of those he's looking at who have a coach who has successfully coached a player like Fields. Chaney sucks, Mac sucks, and Fisher is a pro style guy.
