Yeah, it sounds odd for a family member to come out and lobby on a fan website. I've always said that if I were a recruit, I'd join the rant or 247 and troll the shite out of everyone.
I'd be surprised to see him commit next week. Although it would indicate that he decommitted from PSU with a specific school in mind. Either way, at least the 3 finalist would have time to fill their QB spot for the '18 class.

Fields is better than Franks today and Franks has two years in Florida's system already

The sooner he commits or plans to commit, the better for UF imo

Franks has not looked impressive at all IMO. Zaire leaves, Fields can start right away. I'm hoping UF struggles this year, but if they can pull out 10 wins I think that's where he'll end up.

Well, he hasn't played in an actual game to look impressive or not. He was fine in the spring game, but I agree, not necessarily incredibly impressive. I think Fields can come in to UF and play next year.

Thought I would share some updates from AU's 247 guy Keith Niebuhr he put out today. Most of it is AU centric obviously but here's summary
- Fields has a lot of close relationships with AU. Him and Chip Lindsey have clicked, there's obviously Cam Newton & now apparently it turns out that him and 2017 LB signee Chandler Wooten have been friends for awhile along with their parents
- KN had one source say FSU is Auburn's biggest threat, another said it was UF. Both thought that Jake Fromm would be reason UGA won't land him. FWIW KN followed that up by saying he has heard elsewhere that UGA will be a major threat despite the QB room.
- Fields met with Lindsey, Malzahn and few AU players on his visit including Jarrett Stidham & Chandler Wooten
- KN says Fields has blown away all 4 teams with both his on field and off field IQ
So basically once again everybody likes where they stand. I think the Wooten tidbit is an interesting one for AU but I have to think growing up in GA Fields also has plenty of buddies at UGA too. Our 247 guy still think Fields announces in August

For sure. I just mean I haven't been overwhelmed by his play in general and I think there's a much better chance Fields could start there in 2018 than anywhere else.

I'm interested to see what comes out after Fields' visit to Florida.
From what I have gathered, it sounds like FSU has fallen off since his visit to visit there.
I'll be interested to see what the word is about his relationship with Florida's staff following his visit to UF

Well this interesting. 5* QB Matt Corral just decommitted from USC. UGA/BAMA/UF are said to be major players in his recruitment. Curious to see how that affects Fields recruitment

Where are you getting that from? If anything it appears they are the ones trending up. All the recent CB picks have been to FSU

Look who's giving the CBs though. I don't see anyone at this point who's got connections that would know.

Also says that USC is no longer being considered.

Tom Loy is pretty solid and he just put one in for FSU. It still seems like all 4 teams think they are in a good spot so not saying FSU is now the team to beat I was just curious where this idea that after the FSU visit they had somehow lost some momentum came from
