Dude aint getting it. If he wants to be ready for the NFL he will play in a pro style offense. I dont give a frick who the cordinator is the fricking plays are the same and he will learn them, doesn't matter if the cordinator calls the wrong one during games. Or he could go to Auburn, learn some gimick offense and have no fricking clue what he's doing in 3 years when he is drafted and pro cordinator is telling him to run a play.

Georgia is the likely favorite for the 2 best offensive guards in the country, two of the top three running backs, has commitments from the top two 2019 wide outs and his sister goes to UGA. All of that has to help Georgia's case for fields

Although I doubt it happens, the UGA melt it going to be glorious if Fields ends up picking Auburn. Where the crap did all of these UGA posters come from?

You guys have to be at least 3rd. I could see yall being 2nd. I don't know if I just haven't been paying attention but I don't remember there being near this many a couple years ago.

I think Lew said we were 3rd one day. Obviously LSU had the most but I couldn't remember if AU or Bama had more.

That's a good point. I remember how clueless Cam Newton looked in his rookie year.

- Most passing yards by a quarterback in debut game (422), September 11, 2011 vs. Arizona Cardinals

- First rookie in NFL history to pass for more than 400 yards in back to back games, September 11, 2011 vs. Arizona Cardinals and September 18, 2011 vs. Green Bay Packers (first two games of his career)

- Most combined touchdowns for a rookie in NFL history (35)

- Most combined yards for a rookie in NFL history (4,784)

- First and only rookie to pass for more than 4,000 yards and rush for more than 700 yards

- Most passing yards by a quarterback in first two games (854), September 11, 2011 vs. Arizona Cardinals and September 18, 2011 vs. Green Bay Packers (first two career games)

- First quarterback in NFL history to pass for more than 400 yards in first two career starts, September 11, 2011 vs. Arizona Cardinals and September 18, 2011 vs. Green Bay Packers

- Fastest player to throw for 1,000 yards (at Arizona Cardinals, vs. Green Bay Packers, and vs. Jacksonville Jaguars)

- Sixth quarterback to throw for 400+ yards in back to back games

- First player in NFL history with at least five rushing touchdowns and five passing touchdowns in his first five games

You get the point. I could keep going with Cams record and NFL firsts until no more text will fit on this post.

Damn shame that Auburn gimmick offense left Cam with no clue in the NFL, amirite?

Well I feel like an idiot. I googled it and found i was wrong. I thought Cam played his senior year under Gene Chizik for some reason.

Yeah man. Gene Chizik, who won the Broyles Award as a DC, was calling the offense for Cam as the HC.

Hop back on your googler and tell me who was the OC at Auburn for Cam and 2010 and what that guys job is now.

Man it's amazing how Cam set all those NFL rookie QB records when he had no fricking clue what he was doing.

Cam was so ready after 1 year under Gus he didn't even need a senior year. Imagine what Fields could learn in 3!

Nick Marshall duh. And he was so good the NFL didn't let him play QB. They said it would be unfair and that he had to play somewhere else.

Oh, I love this game.

Name two Jim Chaney drafted quarterbacks in the past 15 years

I'm not saying a QB coming out of Auburn is not prepared, but Cam played one season at Auburn. he was developed in Florida in a pro style offense.

AGAIN....I am not saying that a QB out of Auburn is unprepared. I am just saying that cam might not be the best example for you to give. Malzahn did NOT develop Cam newton into a QB. He will not develop Stidham, either. However, I think most kids that play QB today rely on a lot of outside coaching for their development, and a QB could do a lot worse than Auburn if he wants playing time. Also, kids at the level of Fields typically think they can succeed at any level on their own. I think Auburn is in the thick of the Fields fight.
I still think UGA gets Fields, but it also wouldn't surprise me if he picked Auburn.

Gus developed Sean White into one of the most accurate passers in the NCAA last season

He is still on the team. Will he be your starter this year? Why not? accuracy is not all there is in playing football. It helps, but Hutson Mason was very accurate.

Auburn is far from out.

I agree. In fact, I think right now it is:
1. UGA
2. Auburn
3. FSU

quote:

If Chip Lindseys offense is balanced and brings a more complex passing game, and it shows with Stidham having a big season, Auburn will be right there. You know it.

I agree. however, I also believe Malzahn has Les Milesitis. he just can't help himself and will have his hands all over the offense. If you guys can tie his hands to his sides and keep him away from the whirleybird theatrics you will be fine offensively. If not, it could be trouble. We have our own set of problems and worries at UGA. OLine, for just one.

First:

Urban Meyer + Dan Mullen are two of the most successful spread coaches in the game

Second: If Cam Newton was developed at Florida, there is no way in hell that Florida lets him leave.

They let Aaron Hernandez, Percy Harvin, Janoris Jenkins and other run rampant with no punishment. No way in hell they cut a player they developed to a heisman level player
