Take current playbook. Add read option element. Done.

No doubt. Hopefully he starts recruiting QB's that backup Miss St walk-ons in Juco.

I'm expecting Fields, Zeus and Swift and a strong line to soon dominate SEC defenses. Talent>Coaches.

If the kid thinks he's good/nfl qb he will look to either Georgia or FSU. If it was all about Scam Newton he would already of committed. Auburn is out of this battle.

Both Florida State and Georgia have the same amount of starting NFL quarterbacks that Auburn does. FYI.

Y'all already took a 4* QB this cycle. Y'all aren't out of it but imo y'all are a good bit behind FSU and UGA.

How many since the Gus took over? His quarter backs play DB don't they? Just saying if a kid wants to get into the NFL and start playing I imagine he wants to learn how to run a pro style offense or some offshoot of it.

Muschamp begs to differ.

2012: 3rd Rank
2013: 3rd Rank
2014: 9th Rank.

Just not true. There are some coaches who turn over talent, and others who inherit it but can maintain it. There are also coaches who can do neither. Coaching is very important.

Yep, it has really held Cam Newton back.

Justin Fields wasn't even born the last time Jim Chaney coached a QB worth a damn and even then it was when he was Joe Tiller's puppet.

How old was Fields when Gus developed one straight out of high school? Asking for a friend...

I wish. We just need to keep him away from Pat Dye's cabin

How old is he now? Gus developed Sean White into one of the most accurate passers in the NCAA last season

Auburn is far from out. He always said he was waiting to see how we do and how the offense looks this season.

If Chip Lindseys offense is balanced and brings a more complex passing game, and it shows with Stidham having a big season, Auburn will be right there. You know it.

Obviously. Talent is more important, though. The more talented team wins way more often than not.

That doesn't matter. It isn't even set in stone that Joey Gatewood will play QB.

I love Joey Gatewood but he's not gonna be ready for a few seasons, still has to split time at QB with another kid. I highly doubt he's scaring Fields. There are some that wonder if he will even end up a QB. There's a good chance Fields doesn't pick AU but it won't have anything to do with Gatewood

Don't get me wrong I'm well aware of those issues I was simply responding to the poster acting like UGA is the place to go if you want to get developed as a NFL QB when neither the school nor the offensive coordinator history shows any such indication.

Are we really bragging about completing fast screens and swing passes

But muh Brees I get it. Chaney has to show something this year too. Hopefully for us he does.
