He's a long, rangy athlete that will need a few years to develop, but could be a solid player one day. It's well known around the north end of tangipahoa parish (kentwood, amite) that LSU is not a popular option for college. Players from there over the past decade have been turning away from LSU and many of them actually root for Bama.

Since you like to lump entire fanbases into one group, it's clear in the eyes of the Alabama fanbase that they know exactly how LSU ranks players in their own order of want and need and it's impossible for Alabama to sign someone specifically from Louisiana that LSU didn't have ranked lower on their board. Never could possibly happen, right?
You just love to regurgitate this crap about the LSU fan base as much as possible.

It really is a bizarre entity that transcends all of sports.
You search out recruiting info on college football boards, college basketball boards, what have you. Bama is the only program that simply can't outrecruit it's rivals to get certain players (LSU, AU, UGa sometimes) without cheating, all the while being the top program in the country. You don't really see people from Missouri claiming Kansas paid for every recruit (in basketball) that they landed from the state of Mo. Likewise, folks from Indiana calling foul when UK lands a basketball recruit out of that state. Likewise with Penn State folks when Ohio State lands a player from Penn. Bama is the only national top program that simply must cheat to land anyone that these other schools want. Even in our own state (which might be TRULY the oddest conspiracy theory in all of sports recruiting).
To a large percentage of Barners, Bama must cheat to land top prospects out of the state of Alabama. Forget the fact that there are a lot more UA fans than AU fans, that Bama is a better program currently and historically, and have best recruiting head coach in the game. We have to cheat. Only around here.

According to LSU fans, that is the only thing that happens. That and Bammer cheating. Those are the only ways that Alabama ever lands an LSU prospect.

I'm just merely pointing out an observation that has been proven time and time again. It isn't just Alabama fans who have observed this. See Greg Robinson, Duke Williams, and Speedy Noil's recruitment for other examples. LSU just doesn't lose prospects without there being something sinister happening.
Watch. The next prospect that we get from Louisiana will have at least one of the didn't want him, $$$, handler, etc. excuses. I'll put the O/U on one page and choose the under.

I mean all of these kids do get paid. It's not far fetched to think so.

Strange that none of that was brought up when LSU landed Dupre and Fournette.

Yes there will be at least one. Every fan base has its portion of dumbasses. Yours included. Let's ignore the other LSU posters in here that congratulated the commit and commented on the talent of the player though, right? The entire fanbase needs to be lumped into your own category to fit your argument. That shite gets old.
In this case, it just so happens that those who did comment on Perry being down on LSU's board were correct. Educate yourself and see who LSU has been recruiting at DB since Perry last stepped on our campus. Smith, Fulton, Mullen, Lewis, Monroe, Anderson, and several more are the ones getting our attention and have been. So, your whole LSU fanbase sucks argument wasn't even needed in this thread except you can't help yourself or wait to post it. Again, I'm not diminishing Perry or his skills. I respect when Bama offers a kid and LSU did seem interested at some time. You're just a broken record looking to talk shite about a fanbase and base your argument on a % of people.

That one was a little more civil as it came after 9-6 and before 21-0. There were still a few posts like this:

As far back as the week before the LSU/Bama game (the first one), Scarborough was saying that LSU wouldn't take him because they didn't have the room. For what it's worth, I watchd Devall against West Monroe and he was pretty much invisible.

It just gets tiring after every single commitment we hear the same thing. You can set your watch to it. Sure, LSU probably has higher ranked safeties on the board, which is pretty obvious given that the kid is a three star, but does that need to be said every single time we get a commitment that LSU was after?
It gets ridiculous after awhile. It would be different if someone asked the question about where he stood on LSU's board, but as it is it was unwelcome and somewhat irrelevant information. I'm sure you wouldn't want a bunch of gumps going into every LSU commitment thread where the recruit has an Alabama offer and saying "didn't want, bagman, uncommittable offer, etc."
Hell, look at Broussard's commitment thread. It's been known for awhile that he doesn't have a committable offer from UA, but that wasn't posted once in the Broussard commitment thread. If we can be civil towards Auburn, certainly your fanbase can do the same towards Alabama.

I searched "Devall" sp on the LSU recruiting board and this is like the fifth result.
It even compliments Landon Collins. NOT POSSIBLE. Picking out singular posts adds to point regarding your intentions. Dumb.

Yep we missed on Landon Collins, Denzell Devall, and Toshiro Davis, who were the three best players in the state.
Collins is the best DB entering the NFL draft. Devall starts for Bama. Davis moved down to DE at Texas and plays a lot, should start this year now that Cedric Reed is moving on.

I'm civil. I can't speak for thousands of people.
My posts are taking away from the thread again. I'll shut up.
Congrats on Perry from an LSU fan.

There it is. I was wondering when the uncommittable offer, didn't want him, or handler defense would come in. That didn't take long
You know you're questioning the commit....it's ok to admit it.
Good for the kid but LSU hasn't been in touch with him for a good while now.

It's against the church of Saban to question Saban.

Free school for Perry. Congratulations to him and his family. He will be a good player for y'all. He and Carter will help with the Smith kid. Saban is good at planting seeds. The best thing for LSU is to start winning on the field.

How in the hell has a commit thread for a 3* safety that LSU did not even want get to 6 pages. What the hell is the Devin White thread going to hit when he commits to Alabama.
