I would have turned around and pissed on the guy.

And then ran like hell.

Auburn v. Georgia in Athens in 1999. When Leard ran the keeper for a TD for the 38-0 lead at the beginning of the 3rd quarter the Georgia fans were streaming out of the stadium in droves. It was mostly empty in the 4th quarter, but during the mass exodus the Georgia fans were throwing fists at each other in the stadium. It was a sign of things to come and didn't get any better as we were leaving the stadium. Many a drunk PO'd Georgia fan was looking for an excuse to swing at anything talking shite to each other and us Aubies as well. I saw another 3 fights as we tried to make our way back to the bars. Only time I've ever felt uncomfortable at an opposing team's stadium. After getting back into downtown Athens the mood lightened and we could get our drank on.

Other than that most every SEC stadium I've been to the fans are cordial and for the most part very nice. You run into an occasional drunk douche bag but those are everywhere.

Ole Miss in 2003. Saw a bunch of older ladies being cussed and having stuff thrown at them. I was walking out of the stadium and got cussed out by some classy gal and told how bad Arkansas was going to run all over me. There seemed to be more genuine anger among that fan base before and after that game than any other sporting event that I can remember.

Florida (don't remember which year), but it was the only time I've been there. Had a couple of incidents where some obese, jort-wearing fellas tried to start fights with us, even though we were just walking along minding our own business trying to see the campus.

I'll add I've seen some pretty intense Egg Bowls back when the game was in Jackson. The first one I went to was the 1983 immaculate deflection game. I was 10. That was back when all the Ole Miss fans still waived the confederate flags. Some guy walked up and waived one in a State guy's face and he proceeded to take it away from him, set it on fire with a cigarette lighter, and deck him. As a 10 year old, I thought that was pretty cool.
