I've been there once or twice.

So if they were playing eachother you'd root for Florida?

I grew up in Fayetteville and since FHS is on campus nearly all of my graduating class attended the U of A. Some of us had to leave state for our degrees because they aren't offered in Arkansas. However, I couldn't imagine being anything but a Hog fan. And I have friends that went to FHS, graduated from the U of A, and hate everything Razorback sports related. It stems from high school days and parking problems and sports shutting down the town. I don't understand, it's just what you deal with when associated with a power program. But I think the U of A appreciates me buying tickets and t-shirts and what not versus my friends that wouldn't be caught dead with a Razorback on their clothes even though they are alumni.
Power program?

My parents are Wisconsin grads and I grew up rooting for them, I still try to watch as many of their games as I can but I had no reservations rooting for USC to beat them. Only frickwads root against their alma mater.

FTR, I'd root for KU every time. I still love Arkansas though. I'm probably one of the few fans that has been to pretty much every basketball game

Alma mater is dat hood arse UAB
Does it count if I went to Auburn for 3y and just decided to leave for a different degree path?
My college path is similar to yours.
I'm not conflicted at all by being a UA sports fan first ahead of my alma mater. My parents are UA alums, and my oldest child graduates next May. I've spent fall weekends in Tuscaloosa since I was a toddler over 40 years ago.
Alternately, I could go sit with the 12 UAB fans that go to Legion Field on Saturdays and be bitterly disappointed on a weekly basis. While I also consider myself a UAB fan, the quality of the product and my personal ties to it aren't even close.

can't wait to see what community colleges all the Bama fans on here went to
Troy University is a big one for Bama too.
I grew up a Florida State fan and went to Auburn. My loyalty is to Auburn now though.

Then you're definitely aware that, even though 20 million Texans sport Longhorn gear, there are only 200k or so UT alums living in Texas.
99-1 T-shirt ratio.

Troy is mostly AU fans. The Bama presence there is pretty small.

That's what I was thinking. I know a ton of Auburn fans at Troy. I'm not sure about UAB, but most of the people I know that go there are Alabama fans

There's a seemingly large Fayetteville native contingent that hates the Razorbacks, just on hipster/hippie grounds.

Grew up in Arkansas and have always been a die hard Razorback. I moved to Florifa in high school and am a student at UCF right now. I follow both teams but I'm definitely still more of a Razorback than I am a Knight. Even though I've been to every UCF home game in the past 3 years and partied with Blake Bortles in high school.

Born and raised in Knoxville as a huge UT fan currently working on a degree at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Oh, the horns have tons of tshirt fans. It's kind of an ongoing joke that it's next to impossible to find a lawn maintenance crew without someone donning an orange hat or shirt. And you can't stop at any two-bit gas station without seeing a rack of cheap-arse horn shirts (next to the ugly armadillo shirts and "Don't Mess With Texas" memorabilia) on sale for $4.99. For many people who are just driving through the state--folks who don't know any better will think, "Oh! A Longhorn for the lone star state," without realizing it's an actual team logo.
I didn't say we didn't have tshirt fans in the B12; I said there were far fewer. And I stand by that statement. Typically, if you came across someone wearing a Cyclones shirt, he was a student or alum of Iowa State. Same with Okie State. And Baylor. And Colorado. And texas Tech. And Mizzou.

What would be weird is anyone growing up an Agnes fan. What would be the reason?

Yeah, growing up rooting for an all girls catholic school like St Agnes does seem odd
