"We also know that you were too lazy to do a little research"

Well I asked a question because I figured someone here would know right off hand versus having to research it. No need for insults.

It can be if the player has authorized it.

According to the NCAA, the agreement must be between the agent and the player directly.

Diddy: "Cam, I have great news. You are going to Aubrun son."

Cam: "But Diddy I like the Cowbells."

Diddy: "Son. MSU is too far away!"

Cam: "But Diddy what about UF & Blinn?"

Diddy: "Son. AU is like family."

Cam: "Well in that case, I'm all in."

Cam Newton was represented by Kenny Rogers. You can argue that Cam didn't know or agree to be represented by Rogers, but Cam is on record as saying the decision to go to Auburn was his father's. In other words, Cam had ceded responsibility to his father to handle his recruitment, and if Cecil enlisted Rogers' help, then Cam, by extension, did also.

This is ignorant also. Unless a contract is produced (even on a cocktail napkin), Cam was not represented in any sense that is even remotely applicable.

Fail.

You know, here's the deal. You barners have already shown the world on this thread that you know jack $hit about the rules. You tried to make the point that you could lose your amateur status at one school and retain it at another. You guys foolishly tried to use Albert Means as an example. We all knew better and were laughing our heads off at you because you were so stupid. I showed you the link to back it up.

Just STFU. You guys have already proven you're clueless about the rules. The Albert Means argument. What a frigging joke.

God, you guys are stupid.

I found the link. Why didn't you bother trying?

I love how you morons try to talk like experts who know everything, then you have to backtrack pretty quickly when you see that you don't.

And even if you're right about Cam not knowing...good luck convincing the NCAA of that.

I would believe all of the rule stuff about "if cam didn't know he is still eligible" except for two things...

1) we would have heard this by now. meaning that would have been all over the news as a determining factor, but it isn't the solicitation of anyone on the athletes behalf is and the NCAA spokesperson even said it. show me where someone (not copy and paste from a rule book because we all know that thing could be in Chinese and we would still say we understand it, but we really dont) said that with good authority and i will buy it.

2) if this is a legit part of the rule, it is the dumbest rule ever because that would mean the only way to prove this is "he said, she said" crap which i know the NCAA isn't the smartest bunch but they are stupid enough to allow that craziness

They have wire taps and phone records of MSU and the said intermediary.

Oh and wire taps of Lowder, McGregor, and Dye talking about gambling bill bribes, and spilling the beans on pay for play scheme at AU and how it all works.

Because I find it patently offensive to see people defending the pieces of human garbage that are Cam and Cecil Newton.

That's why.

I also find it patently offensive, because if the shoe was on the other foot, and if Cam was at Bama, there's not an Auburn fan on the planet that would think that Bama wasn't paying the Newtons.

because the "Cam not-knowing plea is a horse-shite loophole!"

And how exactly do you know all this? I thought all that was speculation but you speak as if it's absolute.

So much fail here and it seems like so many are actually stupid enough to think Cam is currently ineligible because Cecil solicited MSU.

It is pathetic.

Yeah, if the rules were not the rules, maybe he would be. But all the people that are posting the rules and saying Cam is ineligible according to the current rules are so damn stupid it is appalling.

It's funny that everyone in the media is saying that if Cecil solicited money from MSU, then Cam is ineligible anywhere he plays until an appeal has been made and a reinstatement has been granted by the NCAA.

They must all be wrong, but crazy Aubs are right. Now I get it. AU really does need to lose its accreditation if this is their debate team.

Now I see why the Law school is at Tuscaloosa. Logic is lacking on the plains.

And every Bama fan would be arguing the exact opposite than they are now. Your point?

I still haven't heard an AU fan respond to this:

1) Cam gives his father 100% of his decision making on which college to attend.

2) Cecil admits to asking for cash

3) AU fans say Cam should remain eligible because he didn't know what his dad was doing, DESPITE the fact that Cam was essentially removed from the decision making process when he gave his dad 100% of the decision making?!?

4) AU fans believe they've found a semantical loophole in NCAA regulations.

5) AU fans insist NCAA will simply have to tip their hat to AU this year and correct it going forward.

Ok, #s 1 & 2 are fact. #s 4 and 5 are just AU fans being delusional. But somebody is still going to have to explain the logic behind #3

In the articles about the investigation of Lowder, Mcgregor and other Auburn trustees for their bribery and failed bank issues. That's where all this started from it seems. Between that and the FBI interviewing Bond and Rogers it would seem that perhaps the money that was provided to Newton and other players was funnled through Mcgregor and Lowder's now defunked Colonial Bank. That's how it was done in the past with you guys!

Well I guess first we'll have to wait and see if Cam's dad did indeed ask for money. To this point no one has shown verifiable evidence that he did.

I don't know why everyone is bothering to argue with the Barners on this one. They will be arguing their innocence long after the hammer drops. Besides, reality is so ugly at this point that I don't blame them for staying in their dreamworld.

Hang in their Barners!

When did Cecil Newton admit to ASKING for cash? You have a link with a source where Cecil Newton asked for cash?

Mark my words...every Auburn fan on this thread will hate Cameron Newton's guts very soon. They will despise him with every fiber of their being.
