I think bama has gone on probation, for illegal player benefits, three times since the last time Auburn was on probation. Those don't count though.

Can you not read the article? Maybe the nurse that changes your diaper and spoon feeds you applesauce can read it to you. It literally says nothing about a bad reputation, pay for play, nor cheating.
Yet you want to dig bullshite about Terry Bowden who hasn't coached in Auburn for damn near 20 years and was never taken seriously after he left and interject it into the conversation?
I mean the OP even quoted the part about Auburn, you lazy shite.

Careful man. Please don't get caught up in this mud slinging. LSU is so lily white I wouldn't want your pure as the driven snow program to get stained by this Bama/AU dirt.

Lot of sportswriters still have a lot of egg on their face from 2010. So salty, dwi.

Ever heard the Pat Dye tapes with the Ramsey kid?...or Terry Bowden's recount of his experiences on The Plains?
Obviously I was referring to the Newton situation there coach.

"Auburn is the type of school that could hire Briles, as its administrators want to win bad enough that they'd endure the tidal wave of bad publicity."

Who gives a flying Fijian frick if your team does the "right thing?"
Football is entertainment meant to bring positive exposure to a university. It doesn't matter compared to the educational mission of the university.
When a team puts football above the mission the brand of the university is harmed. If that culture is allowed to fester for too long it can lead to bad behavior to cover for football that forever damages the university brand.
I am not saying Auburn is the same as Penn St. or is even close yet, but not giving a shite about doing the right thing is the path to that dark side.

And we feel terrible about that and refused to do it for another star QB which ran him off.
We learned our lesson.
