Texas AMC will not allow OU to enter this conference, so it isn't even worth discussing.

Who says A&M has that power. Screw y'all if you think you're just gonna come in here and two years later be making or vetoing major decisions. While I would hate to see OU added, I don't think A&M would be listened to if they threw a fit about it.

Fine. Let's just add Kansas and freakin Temple to guarantee this fan gets to see his team win two more games

Or not add anyone at all.

Or add 2 mid level teams like saaaaay a lousville or nc state (for EXAMPLE, not necessarily those 2 teams exactly).

Anyone who thinks it'll be easier to win a title by adding an FSU, clemson, oklahoma, etc is off their rocker. 4 teams make the playoff. It's basically a foregone conclusion that none of those 4 teams will have more than 1 loss. Harder schedule = greater chance to have extra losses. It's really pretty simple.

LOL if you think we aren't already more powerful than LSU in this conference. We kicked Arkansas's piglet arse out of their traditional Rivalry Week game one year in. Don't tell us what we can't do.

And another thing, when talking about recent history, what do people say about 2006 and 2008? Florida won the national title! They've got the trophies on campus to prove it.

Does anyone say "oh, well, sure..but their OOC schedule was a joke!" No, of course not. All anyone cares about it is that they won it all. If my team played an 8 game SEC schedule (the hardest leage in america), plus GT and 3 cupcakes and ended up winning the national title, I guarantee you not one person would GAS. And in 5 years not a soul would care what our OOC schedule looked like.

FSU is the second winningest program in NCAA baseball (division I) in terms of winning percentage and has over 200 more program wins than does SC. LINK

And, how did SC fare the last time they were in the CWS finals?

Beautiful. Bring on FSU/UNC, keep the traditional regional ties, increase competition.... Win-freakin-win

Can't get UNC without UVA, and that's not even close to happening. Those two actually like their situation in the ACC

Your chest thumping falls on pretty deaf ears so far. Yea Manziel shot y'all into national limelight for a couple months. Now it's back to earth.

You admitted to wanting to add schools to the conference that would guarantee your team a win.....

I argue like an emotional child? Think about what you're saying and tell me that isn't a short-sighted, emotional wish.

Yes, because according to logic and reason, that would give us a better chance to make the 4 team playoff. Not really that difficult to understand.

It's neither shortsighted nor emotional. In fact it's the opposite of emotional, it's rational and thought out.

And selfish. And scared. And not guaranteed in any way, shape, or form. You realize that beating a shitty school doesn't add anything to your team's resume right? It doesn't do UGA any good in the search for a spot in the upcoming playoffs if they beat a crappy, middle-tier, new-to-the-SEC school like you've suggested. If UGA loses that game, it completely ruins their chance to get in. Lose-lose. Nothing gained, risk everything.

However, if UGA beats a highly ranked FSU team that's new to the SEC, It's a huge marquee win. If UGA loses to FSU, it's not a bad loss at all (not gonna keep them out of playoff) and UGA would still be in a great spot to make playoffs if they go on to beat UF, Auburn, LSU, etc....

Theoretically a championship caliber team wouldn't lose to a vastly inferior team. FSU is a pretty high risk game.

Another problem for UGA, UF, UA, and AU is that FSU in the SEC would be an absolute nightmare in recruiting. We don't need a top tier SEC program within an hour of Valdosta. They're already a huge problem as is.

As it stands today, Auburn has a superior team to LSU right now. In Sept, they almost lost to Washington State and lost to that LSU team that they would beat soundly right now. Just saying...
