No. We already have a Florida team. They bring nothing to the table.

I didn't want to add to the SEC to begin with so to answer your question, the 12-team SEC was good enough for me then. But since another expansion has become seemingly inevitable, I'd take UNC (if they'd leave Duke) and FSU. Schools are elite in 2/3 major sports and decent in the other, great academic schools, have good looking women, and are both awesome places to visit.

Screw going north into VA and west in OK. Mizzou already doesn't fit in and expanding because of TV market shares dilutes the unique characteristics of this conference.

I'd rather have a tougher schedule with the upcoming playoff format and have 2 great schools added like UNC and FSU than take the scared pussy route of an easier schedule and shitty schools.

You realize that would make it more likely to get into the playoff, right?

so God forbid a school from a state already including an SEC school be asked to join. Proximity and Regional Ties have become of little to no significance.

Exactly. It sucks that this is reality. Regional ties and tradition are what built this conference. Now, look like most SEC fans would rather have TV market shares instead. Are you kidding me?

There is simply no point in having a leage that could at any point in time have up to 9 schools that could all legitimiately compete for a national title and then knock each other off over the course of the season.

WTF is wrong with you? There most certainly IS a point to it, the entertainment value in increased competition.

Do you even care enough to actually watch the games, or do you just show up at the end of the season to see if your team won a championship or not?

FWIW, I'm a traditionalist and am not for 'dropping' any founding members.

As a matter of fact, I'd like to see G-Tech and Tulane come back into the conference before letting any more strangers in.

Unfortunately, this will likely never happen, since the entire conference expansion movement is all about TV markets... so God forbid a school from a state already including an SEC school be asked to join. Proximity and Regional Ties have become of little to no significance.

Exactly.

So, I say bring in USC and Notre Dame! How much FUN would all that money and footprint be that they bring to the 'table'?

Don't care. New playoff format makes it easier to get in with a loss (in some years with two), especially if you've played a really tough schedule. I want to see FSU vs the Rest of the SEC every year. Would be freaking awesome. Stop being scared of having another tough team on schedule

So why doesn't your program schedule any teams outside of the south more often?

I don't have an issue with it. Our SOS has always been pretty high with 2 annual rivalry games (3 if you include Tennessee) in addition to LSU and whatever SEC program is doing well.

The AD is concerned with profit first and foremost. Helps us pay for the other sports and to give money back to the school.

Beautiful. Bring on FSU/UNC, keep the traditional regional ties, increase competition.... Win-freakin-win

I get entertained the most by seeing my team win. There's a more likely chance of that happening by not playing 8 top 20 teams in one year.

From ages 19-27 I went to 101 consecutive games home and away, all over the country. Don't bring that weak shite in here.

That statement might have merit if this was the big east. But a leage that has UGA,UF,UT,SC,LSU,bama, auburn, and aTm already has a pretty fair amount of tough teams, in addition to our OOC rivalry game every year to boot. There's just no logical reason to add yet another daunting game every year.

No. I like the conference situation at the moment. Only thing I would do is make the Big 12 add some teams and get a championship game.

Dear God please No. I can't stand to listen to their band play the same song after every down.

Texas AMC will not allow OU to enter this conference, so it isn't even worth discussing.

Fine. Let's just add Kansas and freakin Temple to guarantee this fan gets to see his team win two more games

This plus the added injuries the team is bound to get.
