Looks like Bert is reaching his ceiling at 9 while Gus is reaching his floor at 6.

At least I think this is what Five thirty-eight would say.

Seems a bit premature to be defining ceilings and floors.

And almost all your RBs

We lost one this year that actually played, Bert has never had an issue with getting RBs ready

Henry

Go look at Sprinkles stats with limited snaps, are most depth is at the TE postion

3 offensive linemen

This could be an issue to start the season but once again Bert has never had a major issue getting these guys ready. Will be interesting to see how the new OL coach does

Arkansas is going to have to lean on the defense a lot next season and that was a defense that simply was arguably worst in the league this year.

Yep, but look at the defense two years ago when we had some depth. Rob Smith should do a good job with the defense that returns almost all players in the two deep.

easier for me. Who has the hottest wife. But Bert is building a foundation of old school FB which in the long run will be more successful then the newest fad.

But is Rahleigh Williams on the same talent slopes as Collins or Williams? Havent really seen that yet.

Henry is still a big loss, you leaned on him this year for a ton of big plays. And keep in mind the seasoned vet throwing to them is long gone, and is being replaced by a completely green QB just about. New QBs rarely do well in the SEC.

Improvement should be expected but that defense was woefully bad last season. It gets more exacerbated when your offense isn't putting up 40 points a game anymore too.

Isn't it interesting how the argument changes with time. I remember vividly the many, many threads claiming Auburn has no talent and our program is a disaster throughout 2012, and especially at the end of it.

Then when trying to compare situations Bert and Gus inherited they now want to say it was full of talent that Malzahn recruited. Not to mention the many threads telling us what a shitty coach Gus is, but just good enough to take a group of non talented players he recruited to the NC game. I just can't keep up with the ever evolving arguments of these tards.

My favorite part was that the SECRant claimed Gus Malzahn was the real coach that lead Auburn to the BCSNCG in 2010. And now that he had a down year, it was really Gene Chizik that was the mastermind.

You hit the nail on the head with the bolded part.

Sprinkle is going to end up being the best TE in the SEC after this season. The job Lunney has done with him has been extremely impressive. I was critical of Sprinkle his first two years under Bielema because of the drops but it looks like he's going to prove me wrong.

Arkie is going to miss all the guys they lost on offense far more than they realize right now.

Im going to go with Gus on this. Its close though.

Before the injury he was performing as well as Collins in his Freshman year, we also bring in one of the best rbs in the nation.

Sprinkle will pick up most of the slack, the bigger question is who will fill Sprinkle's role last year. We don't have a depth problem at TE though, Arkansas will be fine in that department.

Rob Smith has shown he can put together a good defense with the right pieces in place hence why I said look at two years ago. The defense numbers a are a little misleading because of the pass defense. The run defense was actually very good last year. The pass defense needs improvement without question.

I don't believe anyone is saying the 2012 team had a lot of talent but you can't argue that it was worst than what Bert was given.

What we lose is getting overstated by a little bit. Once you break it down it isn't as bad as many think. QB is the huge question though and it is the most important one.

One thing about Arkansas fans. They talk about the Hogs as if they have EVER accomplished anything in the SEC.

They ignore any accomplishment by Auburn or LSU or anybody as if it is so irrellevant yet their own "average at best" Hogs are always next year's team.

Right now the talk is all about what Bert is supposedly building at Arkie. Hell, he is in 4th year and is building toward what? Kids graduate in 4 years and many leave after 3.

After all the talk is over and you play the games for every win over an Auburn, LSU, or Ole Miss or near win over Bama there is a loss to Toledo or Texas Tech. It is the same old Arkansas since everybody but Petrino has been there. Arkansas is still unable to recruit a consistant class in even the top 25. Yet to hear hog fans talk they are some great program "on the rise".

Next season will come and go and Arkansas fans will be talking the same way this time next year because that is what they do best. Talk.
