My entire family went to UGA, so I like seeing LSU play them more than once every 12 years. Yeah, that's my personal preference but that doesn't mean we get to play them yearly. We're a 14 team conference. It's stupid to rarely play some teams in conference. Nobody outside the states of Alabama and Tennessee give a shite about the third Saturday in October because it's just not competitive anymore...just like nobody outside of Louisiana and Mississippi cares about LSU-Ole Miss (sorry Tennessee...not a dig at you guys, just a sad fact about the current state of your program). And Ole
Miss is one of our oldest rivalries. If Saban and Bama are really "for the better good of the conference", you'd understand this, but let's face it-y'all are all greedy. Seems like it's Y'ALL that are scared of having to face Florida more than once every decade. Schedule tough teams like LSU regularly does (and yes, I know y'all open with Michigan...congrats on manning up), and then maybe you can complain. We played and beat 3 BCS bowl champions last year...that's hardly running in fear. Geaux Tigers!

What would Nick Saban say to the SEC asking Bama to play Auburn on a Friday for the betterment of the SEC?

TV does the asking, not the SEC. And we've done it.

Imagine that! LSU guy bitching about Bama/Tennessee rivalry, Bama bye weeks, Bama game on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Bama, Bama, Bama!

Bama started it all, rearranging everyone's schedule because of the bye weeks

They really do need to have an equal schedule for the east playing west goes.Even though teams will go up and down at least if they play every cross conferance team equally there cant be any bitching. As a LSU fan i know for years when Florida was at the top of there game we were getting beat every year by them while the Tide played Vandy.Same happening to Gators now.Gators in BR last year whle Geogia did not play LSU,Bama or Arky.

The SEC did the rearranging. Bama just pointed out the...how does LSU say it? Scheduling inequities?

And technically, I could say that it was the six SEC teams that scheduled their bye weeks prior to the Bama game as 'starting it.'

Thatd actually be 5 considering bama, just like LSU, had their bye week the same week.

Even so...

"From 2007 through 2010 Alabama will have faced 16 SEC teams that were coming off of a bye week. When the 2010 season comes to a close the Crimson Tide will have played three times as many SEC teams coming off an idle week than any other SEC team in the same 4 year period."

How's this for scheduling inequities?

Wonder what he'd say if Nebraska/Oklahoma didn't play every year. Oh wait, nevermind.

If you Bama boys can make stupid assumptions about LSU being "scared", we can too. So apparently Bama is scared to play UF and UGA more than once every 10 or so years. Frickin pansies

really now. the LSU syndicate? brainwashing has nothing to do with it. i want to play florida and bama every year but i also don't want to wait a friggin' decade to play the other east teams. it appears that bama, ut, uga and auburn are getting their way WHILE THE OTHER 10 TEAMS GET HOSED. i think the other 10 teams should be awarded "consideration" for y'all getting to PICK YOUR PERMANENT. the SEC should charge y'all money; easy to just give you less than an equal share of the pie, go to 9 conference games or TREAT YOU BASTARDS LIKE EVERYONE ELSE and go the 6-2. i guess you think my brain has been washed but you are like a titty baby that wants his way and when he gets it he calls everyone names.

Of course they are. They are pussies from the word "go". They always want the easiest road, and if anybody calls them on it, they claim we're the ones who are scared. Just face it. Everything about the whole fricking state of Alabama is just stinking piles of shite. Ignore them and they'll still stink, but you won't have to smell it.

Lots of football fans outside of the Big 10 pay attention to Ohio State and Michigan. The Tennessee-Alabama game hasn't meant squat in 40 yrs.

LSU and Florida don't crank either fanbase's tractor. Sure there have been some great games such as the 2007 game. But its funny that Alabama fans whine about LSU's concerns about Florida especially since LSU and Florida have met annually since 1971.LSU and Alabama have played every year since 1964 yet when anyone mentions that LSU and Alabama are "rivals" the entire Gump nation wets their collective pants with their brainwashed mantra "you aren't our rival!Stop saying you're our rival !" and then erupts into a temper tantrum. Yet the same Gumps think LSU and Florida should continue playing.

Alleva makes a good point. If Tennessee and Alabama just have to continue playing, play it every year as a non conference game when its not in the rotation. Of course 'Bama hypocrisy knows no boundaries as Tennessee wanted Alabama to agree to let them wear orange in Tuscaloosa in 2009 as the two did reguarly until 1971 and the NCAA had agreed to a rule for games such as Southern Cal-UCLA if both agreed to do so, but Alabama in its own self-asorbed, holier than thou way, shot that request down.
