Tie this to ESPN wanting an all SEC NC.
People obviously didn't want to see a game they had already seen.

And would you not agree that OSU getting to play a week after Alabama swayed votes
Sure it did.

But ESPN had the full-court press going.

Still butthurt, because you didnt get to play okie lite, because LSU knew what was going to happen when they played Bama again.

Ratings don't lie... People didn't tune in, for whatever reason

I'm not a marketing genius but I'd have to figure that if you have football fans from the south on one side and fans from out west on the other your gonna end up with more viewers.

Not much.

AU-Oregon is the 2nd lowest rated. I think that played into their knighting for LSU/Bama.

It was Monday Night.

It was the 36th bowl (or whatever) and the wild card of the NFL was played the weekend prior = burned out.

The first game was boring and this one wasn't really any better.

Shoulda been on ABC

Correct. The ratings sucked not because of the matchup, but because the game was on a cable network.

Wtf does this have to do with anything? Why would an Alabama or LSU fans give a shite who watched? Everyone figured the ratings would be down. The ONLY thing that it might have proved is that ESPN was in fact just saying what they thought about the situation and not campaigning for Alabama.

SEC vs. SEC made this even worse, people from the Pac-12/B1G/ACC areas are already pissed at the SEC enough

Emphasis on this, seeing as how the day after the BCSNC, ESPN was mostly talking about and showing Tebow.

I don't see how you can say it was abysmal. It was second only to last years BCS for a cable network. Compounded by two SEC teams, I say that was a nice day a the office.

Technically, I think you're supposed to say something like 23:39 hrs., so the inbreeders will think you're witty.

Norte Dame not being in a conference kinda makes the win your conference requirement pointless. That's why it's not a rule.

Everyone knows this. So why the hell would ESPN want an all SEC matchup?
