The Vols are on the verge of being dismissed.

It did exist in the '80s:
That's interesting. Still think it seems silly talking about a Big 6 back then, since they were accepting co-championships, among other things. And correct me if I'm wrong, but the only difference between Florida's '84 vacated title, and Kentucky going 10-1 in '77 (only lost to Baylor), is that Kentucky was disqualified before the season began.
So, if this is the standard and vacated titles are okay, then what about co-championships? Wouldn't that be roughly equal to runner-up today? In that case, Arkansas, MSU, South Carolina and Missouri must also be Big 6 members, as they're all schools that have played, but never won, the SEC Championship Game. Since Kentucky essentially tied Alabama for the '77 SEC title, we should also include them.
That leaves Ole Miss, Vandy and Texas A&M as the bottom 3 SEC teams, since none of them have ever played in the SECCG or can make a claim that they were SEC co-champions in the modern era.

UGA would likely go first, seeing as their last NC was over 30 years ago.
Florida had a much longer dry stretch than that...first NC was '96. Auburn also went 1957-2010 without one. That said, UG still failed to win one in the BCS era, which might just be critical enough to earn it an eviction notice from the other Big Six members.

Not even close, we are still the second winningest program in the SEC, only behind the bammers.

Moral of the story is that none of the Big 6 are going anywhere any time soon. They BY FAR the best 6 programs in the conference. Always have been always will be.
They all have had their down periods, but they bounce back and continue their LONG traditions of success. Just when each of them get to the point where you start wondering if they'll ever get back, they win a few SEC titles and remind you that they are in the BIG 6 for a reason.
The other 8 are lucky they can be in the same breath as these amazing programs.
