If it includes other sports, you have to loop in Kentucky, they have been propping up SEC bball for years (with periodic help from UF).

You could add all there success in BB but they are cellar dwellers in most sports so you would be wrong. You can't be a member of something you don't comprehend

Mizzou has a more legit claim to the 1960 title than Ole Miss. We was robbed.

Yep, back when the polls came out before the bowl games. All Mizzou did was go out and beat Navy and their Heismann Trophy-winning RB in the Orange Bowl after they released the poll.

Don't get me wrong, college baseball kicks arse. Basketball too.

But in the South, there is one religion: Gridiron football

You Yankees and your Affirmative Action. You can't earn it like everyone else, so you just want it handed to you. Typical.

Hell, any sport is more entertaining than a lot of crap on TV today. In my house if you can hit it, kick it, pass it, shoot it, throw it, or drive it, I will watch it

Being part of the Big 6 comes form decades of success. Come back and see us in about another 30 years... That is if, and only if, you win multiple conference and or national championships.

Wins the East? Sorry, winning the East won't get it

All the major teams in the SEC. They also happen to be the ones with conference titles in the BCS era.

It goes further than the BCS era. With the exception of Kentucky in 1976 (tied record with UGA but lost the head to head tiebreaker), nobody outside the Big 6 has won or even finished tied for a conference title in the last 50 years.

We were the only team to finish undefeated after the bowl games in 1960

First of all, who the frick do you think you are?

Outsiders don't have any say whatsoever in what goes on with the Big Six.

Secondly, you have to win at least 1 SEC Title + NC in the BCS/Post BCS era even be able to apply for membership, and even then you're not guaranteed entry.

Finally, it's Big Six, not Big Seven, not big eight, it's BIG SIX.

I thought Big 6 was more about SEC titles than NCs.

I thought so too.

I'm sure the goal posts will be moved as needed.

Serious question. What was the last school outside the big 6 to win an sec title? I'm nearly certain it hasn't happened in my lifetime and I was born in 92. What has it been like 50 years? Pretty crazy and impressive that only six schools are capable of winning the sec apparently. It's the big 6 for a reason and takes generations to solidify membership.
