That doesn't make any sense. I meant they didn't look any better in BJs first year. One of the worst teams we played. Toledo was better

Toledo gave our defense fits. That RB and WR were real good. Our backup QB had 110 rushing yards against Tennessee.

Really, you wouldn't have said that having our starting QB healthy, OL healthy, and starting RB back would make Mizzou better in 2013 than 2012?

Nope...especially since you only had 12 listed returning starters from the 2012 season where you finished 5-7.

Tennessee didn't look any better to me either.

Hurray. They beat South Carolina at home, but they got blown out by Auburn, Alabama, Missouri and Oregon; they lost again to Vanderbilt; they lost to an eventual 4-8 Florida team by two touchdowns; and they came very close to getting beat by South Alabama.

They lost everyone on the offensive and defensive lines. This team next year will be lucky to get to 6-6.

So our true freshman QB and starting his first ever game on the road and our true freshman and sophmore WRs didn't give the eventual SEC east champion team fits? No!

Your backup Qb who had won freshman of the week the year before? Yeah he was no good, our defense shouldve stopped him.

Yes, but it was a fluke call. We still lost fair and square, but it was contested.

First SEC game, no one had any idea they were gonna end up sucking so bad. We got intimidated, and our QB play sucked balls the first half (4 turniovers)

Tennessee definitely makes a bowl this year. They'll go 6-6, with 7-5 probably being their ceiling.

They'll beat Utah State, Arkansas State, Chattanooga, Kentucky, Vandy, and might take one they shouldn't against Florida, Georgia or Mizzou. They had both Georgia and South Carolina on the ropes last year and should have won both games.

If they beat Bama, the melt would be tremendous.

During our years of suckage (2000-2007) we never had a game as bad as the four Tennessee got blown out in this past season. That includes playing against eventual national champions, Top 10 teams, Top 5 teams, etc.

During our years of suckage, we have never had worse than a 5-7 season. So no 3-8 or 4-9 like ya'll. It goes both ways.

I think if UT goes into the game with 0 or 1 losses (unlikely), and Bama comes in undefeated (more likely), and no other marquee matchups are going on, Gameday will be in Knoxville just for the drama

i'm with you... UT will be painfully young on both LOS... combine that with more subpar QB play and a defensive staff I wouldn't let coach my son's pop warner team, it doesn't look good.

but, hey, they can recruit.

I think UT's bowl hopes rest on the game in Nashville. I'm really looking forward to it. Both teams have a lot to replace. It could be a really good game like 2011 was. I've loved the last 2 wins for separate reasons (and who doesn't love beating a rival?), but I'd actually like to see a good Vandy win. I want a win where they can't fall back on the "worst period in history" excuse, even if it is valid. Also, I'm curious what "fluke call" occured in last year's game?

I don't know about any fluke calls...guess he was talking about the spot that was reviewed.

There was a bad call...the illegal block call on Pig Howard that called back the touchdown in the 4th quarter. That led to the fake field goal/interception.

This is what I think. Only need to win one of those games they aren't supposed to and they're ibn. Did it to SC last year with less talent. Of course lose to Ark St and it's moot

I remember the play but not well enough to argue or agree. Although, that is a new complaint to me. I think your first point was right. He probably thinks 4th and 1 shouldn't have been reversed.

May have not looked better on the field but I just walked away with the impression that the program as a whole was headed in the right direction. Something intangible about it when I went to the SC-UT game last year, and no it wasn't the result of the game that makes me think that.
