Will SC go 5-0 vs the East and still not go to Atlanta?

Simple question, SC has 3 remaining SEC games.

@UT, @Arky, UF.

I think most SC fans will agree that all 3 of those will be extremly tough and all can very easily be losses but we are capable of going 3-0 though I believe most Gamecocks are thinking 2-1 with the lone loss to Arky. If that happens SC will be 5-0 vs the East this year (and 9-1 over the last 2 years if we can pull it off) and 6-2 in conference.

UGA, who is currently tied with SC at 4-1 in the SEC but losing the tiebreaker to SC. UGA also has 3 more SEC games.

UF - neutral, UK, and AU.

All winnable, AU will be tough but still should be able to take care of them and UK at home. UF with Brantley I think will be their toughest.

So what says the rant? How do you see those 6 SEC games going? Will SC go 5-0 vs the East but still not win the division? Has this ever happened before?

This is one of the few times where the UF-UGA game has serious implications on what happens with SC and certainly a rare time that SC fans absolutely need UF to beat UGA.

Didnt USCe go 5-0 in the East last year?

And UGA will have a much tougher time with AU and UF than many think. They have beaten 5 really poor opponents.

Sort of off-topic, but similar to what happened to the Oakland Raiders last year. They were 6-0 in their division but missed the playoffs.

1) We lost to UK
2) Even if we hadn't we still made it to Atl.

No, but we've already beaten the next-best team this year. Oh, and we actually beat UK this year too

I see us going 2-1 in those games, but 3-0 is a definite possibility. All depends on our play on the offensive side. D will keep us in all games left to play.

Oh

Yeah after that UK game this year I told my friend that they caught us on a bad bad day. Our team was pissed about 2 things.
1) Losing to AU the week prior
2) Losing to UK last season.

You could tell that neither the team nor Spurrier were going to let that go.

Our weakest link will be our O and Arky's weakness is their D, but they play of our D will be the key in that game. If we can somehow slow that offense then we'll probably win the game.

My thought is that we'll be able to slow Arky to a degree.. but not enough for our offense to keep up.

Something like a 28-20 Arky score.

Our O will put up more than 20 on Arky, IMO. Their D is literally last in EVERY category. That's why I think it comes down to our D. If we can slow them down and keep good field position, we'll be in good shape.

I think UF can drop USC if Brantley and Demps are fully healthy heading into next week. Big if though.

We all thought the same thing when AU came to town. @Arky against a far superior offense?

Granted Shaw has shown to be a much more accurate passer than Garcia this season. I guess we'll just see how our offense does Lattimoreless
