not that many. "Most" go to a SUNY or CUNY school.

DS is right on this one. New York is not a lucrative football market.

I understand your point, but SEC fatigue is a real thing in the rest of the country. If Gameday goes to College Station this week, they almost certainly won't go to Baton Rouge the very next week. Palo Alto is my guess.

And I agree about the matchup, that would be the best game of the week but I just don't see them going SEC consecutively.

Correct lots of Rutgers fans, but NYC is not even a top 25 market for cfb. They simply don't care. It's nfl or nothing.

Don't they normally go to one FCS (or some small school) game every year? Can they do this that week?

The "if" was used because the entire thought was a hypothetical.

If/then

I realize Gameday will be in CS this week.

I bet they do Stanford/ASU. They will be higher ranked teams than AU/LSU.

TV channel the game is on isn't everything...

In 2009 they went to 3 straight Mountain West games when MWC games were broadcast on either The Mtn. or CBS College Sports.

Arizona St @ Stanford will be it, especially if ASU beats Wisconsin this week. ASU-Stanford will likely be the ABC night game, and if ASU beats Wisconsin both teams will be ranked.

Asu vs Stanford is on Fox. Not that it matters, but it's a consideration IMO.

Not real sure who Gameday will pick...options that week definitely suck. Wisconsin win over ASU, gameday at LSU or Notre Dame...ASU win, Gameday at Stanford..,,IMO.

looking at the schedule I think the best matchup on the books for week 4 might be:

Stanford/Arizona State

Stanford is quality and ASU tends to start the year very strong. This can be hyped as a very good game. Auburn/LSU will only be significant to people who love the LSU/Auburn series IMO

I live in NYC and no one could give 2 shits about Rutgers and CFB to be honest.

It's fricking sad.

From the article:

Arkansas at Rutgers

Likelihood 45%

Houston vs. Rice

Likelihood 30%

Michigan at Connecticut

Likelihood 20%

Columbia at Fordham

Likelihood 15%

No mention of Lsu/Auburn

This tweet by Chris Fowler also eliminates Lsu:

Next Saturday @CollegeGameDay is headed off the grid. Not a traditional hotspot. We'll announce it Saturday. Any guesses?

You think the farm is off the grid?! Top 5 team
Looks like it won't be Stanford either that week. Very interesting...

They want LSU/Dawgs in week 5. No way they even considered BR for week 4
