-lacks lateral quickness
- he's not Trent Richardson bad but doesn't have great vision, he's not a natural rb
-to be his size he's kinda soft
- one of the worst pass protecting rbs I've ever seen in film. They either bring in Drake or run Henry out in the flat

I've watched just about all his film and played against him twice be will fill a specific role but won't be a star. Would be a good mid found pick with ba team that has a great o line where he can wear u down over the game

Prediction: cowboys 3rd round

His vision appears to be excellent. Hits the holes running downhill.

(2)
I have no idea what this means.

(3)
No he isn't.

It hurts Jalen Hurd that he'll be in the same draft class -- assuming he comes out next year, which is probably a safe assumption -- as Dalvin Cook and Leonard Fournette and Samaje Perrine. All three of those guys -- and maybe one or two more from that class I'm not thinking of -- are better than Hurd.

Hurd isn't that fast and he isn't shifty at all. He's a bruiser, which helps him less in the NFL than it does in college.

He's actually very shifty, but top end speed could be better. But for his size, he's extremely agile, elusive and quick on his feet....good vision as well.

If he improves his top end speed, he's as good as anyone.

Have you ever watched him play live from an end zone point of view?

I doubt it.

When the hole is open or RIGHT NEXT to him, he hits it full speed. When the hole is closed, he can't go ANYWHERE.

He has size, strength, and top end speed.
He lacks burst and field vision.

He will not do well at then next level, but why would any fan care? He was a beast for bammer and that is all that matters if you are a college fan.

I can bet you that any team that drafts him in the first 3 rounds will have a majority of its knowledgable fans let out a collective groan.

He will be a high pick, but he can't just fit any system. In the right system, with a very good OL, he will be a very good back.

I agree that he is not the best at creating on his own, as his first step is not that fast, but if he get rolling, he has elite size and speed.

I think that Yeldon was the most NFL built back we have had (and I think he first year is proving that). Guys that are shifty, hard to get hard hits on and that can catch the ball out of the backfield and block are 3rd down are what the NFL wants now.

I'm not sure how Derrick will be, but my guess is he will be a decent rotation back but not a great one.

Worst case scenario he misses the hole (according to you) and gains 4 yards because he's an absolute beast. Dude is going to be a stud in the NFL.

I have to respectfully disagree with this "expert". Would love to have Henry on my pro team right now.

This seems to be an area for improvement coming into this year that he apparently got better in. People are also underrating his vision in this thread. We don't know a lot about him catching out of the backfield I guess. I think it's dumb he won the Heisman but I think he has an alright career in the NFL.

Very few college RB's are high, first round picks anymore. So, a 4th round projection is probably close to the norm. RB's are easy to find in lower rounds and that they are cheap matters, too.LSU has had 5 picked low & yet all are all still playing. He would be nuts to return, all he'll do is put more wear & tear on his wheels, especially if he continues to carry the ball 25+ times a game. Get drafted, improve, and it's that second check you get that makes the big difference money wise.
