It's one of the better sites on the net for football, IMO.

What hate?
Seems that every time someone links a Bleacher Report article, it's dismissed as less than accurate.

When it first came out people liked to link articles and like they were written by professional sports journalists... Responses would tell the OP to GTFO with that Bleacher report bullshite... the hate kinda stuck after that.

Stephen Garcia writes for them.
Take that for what it's worth.

Because I'm just as much of a professional journalist as their writers are.

Because they went from a good site to shite and it's slowly working it's way back.

LarrytheGolfer used too, maybe still does... If that gives you any indication of the articles that used to be linked.

I don't mind its existence. I just think the quality is generally low and find it laughable when people attempt to pass off their articles as an expert opinion.

If you like biased 'articles' written by amateurs.

As opposed to unbiased, objective writers like Forde, Scarborough, etc that populate the net.

It started out as a sports blog site. They tried to make it better by hiring some legitimate writers, and for some topics, they did. They hired some of the better Bama beat writers.
But they also have done incredible hacks on there. It varies pretty widely depending on the team. Sometimes it's great, someone's it's garbage. That, and it's beginnings, leads to it's bad reputation and credibility.

before it was bought by Time Warner literally anyone could write for it so a ton of articles were complete shite w/horrible sourcing and fact checking and were often little more than click bait slide shows. You could sometimes get good info but much of it really wasn't worth anyone's time.
its gotten better now that there is a legit company behind it that has hired real journalists but that stigma is going to last quite a while.

I hate them solely because of their radio station and it making me skip over another channel on siriusxm. Have never heard something worthwhile talked about on that channel of nobodies
