I think its because we play in the SEC west and have a brutal schedule we suffered through last year. This year will be an improvement but the competition remains brutal.
Personally, I think AU will be better than advertised and will be GOOD by end of the year. However early on, we may take a loss or two.

If Auburn is somehow 5-0, they will be top 10. We would have W's over Clemson, MSU, LSU, and Arkansas

IF (big if I know) Auburn starts 5-0, that means they beat Clemson, State, LSU and Arky. I don't see how that wouldn't place any team into the top10

I prefer we don't get any preseason love. Look at they years in which Auburn got a lot of preseason love, we fell flat on our face.
The years we've gone undefeated, nobody expected it before the season started.

Read the entire thread, and didn't see an AU fan whining about how UF is ranked ahead of them in these meaningless polls. That seemed like the norm in the beginning. Props to AU fans. FWIW, I wouldn't have either AU or UF in the preseason top 25.

Frazier will be better than Moseley. No doubt in my mind. I'm not sure how much better, but IMO it won't be that difficult.
