You answered your own question. His bench is full of talent. If a starter did occasionally get hurt on special teams, he can replace them with someone almost as good. So he might as well have his best players on the field for as many snaps as their endurance can handle.

He has answered this before. Part of his answer was that in the pros you only have 45 players or so on the roster. Almost all players have to play some type of special teams at that level.
