same reason he will win the heisman and fournette didn't even get invited. Still won't have nothing to do with fournette breaking 4.4 in the 40 at the combine at 230. Henry will have a respectable 4.53 though.

I think the combine is used more to take out the guessing used in the eye-ball test. I agree its way over-emphasized, but it can help. If a guy looks fast or slow on film, but they run a really good or really bad time then you can see where you may have been wrong.

Its main purpose is to identify raw players. Best example being the Saints and Terron Armstead. He played at a really small school, but at the combine Sean Payton was able to see a huge, fast, athletic, long-armed offensive linemen with no skills and drafted him hoping to develop him. Now he is really good for the saints

Because McCaffrey is better than both and takes up one of the first team spots then somebody has to get demoted.

I don't doubt they do. What about pass blocking.

I would like to see that though. You got a link?

Here you go if you're still online. It seems the major problem with them is pass blocking. Run blocking seems fine, unless I'm misreading it (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

Thanks. I just gave it a quick glance, I will look at it closer when I have more time.

That's a completely legitimate point, and the combine has done quite a bit to help any number of late-blooming athletes who weren't lucky enough to catch the attention of a major football power and had to go to some more obscure place you can only watch on ESPN666 or whatever. And it can help even major college prospects improve their stock. So I grant that.

Same question I asked last year when Tevin Coleman made first team.
