You think this thread is about Arky? Oh my god, you were the one who brought up delusions of grandeur!
Too funny.
What can I say, despite lying, cheating and filandering his way to the top, your coach still has a losing record against ours.

LOL, the Piggies wanted Cal real bad to be the coach. Squeal pig, squeal.

Successful coaches at successful schools get lots of undue scrutiny.

Hell yea we did.
And I would have fully admitted he was a lying cheating greaseball scum.
Pretty sure thats the whole point of this thread.
And you do know what was happening during the "squal pig, squal" scene right? Is that how you normally operate? Chub chaser?

Kentucker, I grew up a Memphis fan and got my MBA from there during Cal's time there. I buried my head in the sand too, and pretended that Cal wasn't a slimy. He's a snake in the grass, but for 9 years, he was my snake in the grass and we won alot of basketball games. College BBall is a dirty game, and he's the kingpin. No one buys "If the glove don't fit, you must acquit" defense of Cal. I used it for a decade.
So you only bought in to the "snake in the grass" crap when he left Memphis for UK? Okay.

They probably don't get enough scrutiny.

And your program has a losing record against ours, and your Natty record is losing against ours, etc. What's your point?

Rumors from Memphis....whether true or not, it followed him. Plus, he just looks like a greasy snake in the grass to me.

That you are ruffled and for some reason super insecure when its comes to Arkansas and Mike Anderson's success against Kentucky.

Currently at 30-0, I'm sure copies of his grocery receipts are being sent to the NCAA by haters.
Now, Roy Williams and Mike Kryzewski? Who knows?

Actually, the thread topic asks why Coach regarded by some as a cheat? No one can answer that question without suppositions, biases and lies.
If Calipari had gone anywhere but UK he would not be having the success he is now. Therefore he would not be the most talked about person in college basketball. Nor the highest paid coach. He knows how to succeed.

Why is he regarded as a cheat? He was the head of two programs that vacated wins. As a officer in the military I was responsible for what happened in my command, whether I knew or not. He was the head of the program, therefore he is responsible. Our society shies away from taking responsibility, hence why many on here say you cannot prove it so he is innocent. That is taking the way of low morals.
Personally I think he knew and probably led part of it. I would say the vast majority of coaches play fast and loose with the rules. Admitting it is part of the problem. I personally feel that if a player leaves before 4 years it should effect recruiting. After 1 year, 1 scholarship, 2 years 1/2 scholarship or something along those lines. Let them go from high school to d league for 3 year min. You really think mom and dad are paying for those cars? I would not trust him with anything of mine.
Yes he is probably a cheat, so what. Move on. Not calling for his head. I do not care.

pretty much every good program at the college level cheats
it's just to what extent and how good you are at hiding it

very few thought that about nr ...
Yea I know down in bama its pretty hard to get over the old color thing.
He played straight up you know what ball.
And won a NC in all three divisions. The only coach to ever do it.
Shouldn't you be thumping your chest about a fake NC in football somewhere? Let the SECs elite talk basketball please.
was actually saying very few people thought nr just 'rolled the ball' out there ... most of us in the sec know he was a great coach ...

Would that be www.webehaters.com? Thanks but I don't need a big shot of bitter.
The Cats are still unbeaten and Coach still has never been charged with anything.
Good try, though.

Isn't it the haters that should move on? Nothing is going to come from their rumor mill. Nothing but their sad lives.
I'm torn about whether they should stop hating, though. I mean, it's so entertaining. We took the hate title from Duke when Coach came on board and immediately started visiting the final four regularly.
Being talked about bad is better than not being talked about at all, like Indiana. They were vehemently hated when Bobbie Knight was coach, but does anybody, especially recruits, have any interest in their current coach? No.

The thing which raises the most alarms is that Wall and Cousins had verbally committed to Memphis before Calipari left for Kentucky. Plus Calipari also got Derrick Rose and Tyreke Evans to go there as well. How was one coach able to convince all these great players to go to Memphis, a city which isn't anything to write home about and a program that plays in a Mickey Mouse conference? It makes me believe there is or at least was something to the Worldwide Wes connection.

Well, of course there's something to the WWW connection. WWW is a talent scout/consultant. He searches out the best prospects and then lets Coach know whom to pursue.
When Rick Pitino was at UK, he had his version of WWW, Jersey Red (IIRC). That relationship worked rather well, too.
