Why is Calipari widely believed to be a cheat?

I've seen this belief espoused both here on the Rant as well as elsewhere. What is the basis?

I'm not too informed, but while he was at UMass and Memphis I think there were some scandals about players receiving illegal benefits, and since Kentucky has had such great recruiting success, some believe that there could be something fishy.

Because he is a good coach and motivator who is an exceptional recruiter. Nobody has beat him this year, so it is easier for people to say that he is a cheater than accept the fact that him and his players are just better than anyone else.

Calipari has vacated wins at every school he has been at. He is a proven cheater.

Former customer of mine (and friend) had a son who was a team manager at Memphis. He'll tell you straight up Cal is crooked as hell. That was at Memphis.
I honestly dont think he has to be at UK. He just has to say "come play one year. Get rings and then go to the NBA and get rich." He has mastered that formula. I dont know many coaches who can put together an entire new team each year.

Because at Memphis and UMass he had a checkered passed.
