Cal hand picks the best players in the country in the dirtiest game for recruiting there is. His programs have gone down wherever he has been. He definitely doesn't cheat.
You're going to ruin your sofa, sitting on the edge of the seat like that waiting for someone to prove Coach cheats or has ever cheated.

Because he cheats......in sports, on his wife, etc. He is a known and admitted cheater. Any other obvious questions?
What's the weather like in La La Land? You are wayyyy out there.

I do laugh at the fact that Syracuse, UNC, and Kansas are all involved in major NCAA scandals and Duke and Louisville are dealing with sexual assault scandals, but Calipari and Kentucky and his alleged cheating at Kentucky are what's wrong with college basketball. And apparently exclusive to UK.
No one believes that. I'd guess Duke and Kansas are dirtier right now than UK is. The martyr act isnt necessary.

The NCAA would love to pop someone like Kentucky to repair their reputation of botching investigations at this point.
Imo, it's exactly the opposite. The NCAA isn't interested in prosecuting its blue blood programs. The Kansas inquiry with Alexander will come to nought. The Carolina academic scandal will be a slap on the wrist. The Boeheim penalty was light years less than it would have been 10 years ago. The new NCAA has figured out it makes $0 on compliance enforcement.

And the UK job came open and he was hired, but that's not important.

His connection with World Wide Wes is sketchy, because WWW is a sketchy character, and no one really knows what he does, or his role with recruits and NBA players etc.
No one in Lexington has ever seen WWW wearing a cape and mask.

You serious? There hasn't been a rhetoric openly espoused that Kentucky and Calipari is the downfall of college basketball.
Hell, even the Rolling Stone threw their shitty two cents in on it a week or so ago.

No one really believes Calipari is the only thing wrong with college basketball. Anyone who pretends that he is shouldn't be taken seriously.

Then there's a lot of folks who shouldn't be taken seriously.

Funny. Pig fans...didn't Cal turn you fools down to be your coach. Squeal pig, squeal.
Uh yea. Unfortunately Derek Rose had already had someone else sign his LOI to play for Memphis, hence why Cal stayed to choke away the National Championship.

Recruiting:
"I'll help you develop your talent so you'll go high in the NBA draft." I'll just bet that goes over better with a top recruit's parents than, "Here's a new Escalade if you'll sign with us."
Academics:
The NCAA is completely in charge of an athlete's academic qualifications for admission. They cleared Rose twice to play for Memphis and then hammered the school when it was revealed he cheated on his SAT.

I think the NCAA is actually afraid of the Power 5. IMO, it's time to say good-bye to the NCAA and its corruption and establish a governing body for just the major schools.

I did not think Arkansas returning to the elite would make UK fans so uneasy and defensive.
At least not this quickly anyway. They are clearly dreading the SECT championship game.

You think this thread is about Arky? Oh my god, you were the one who brought up delusions of grandeur!
Too funny.

Hey, 7. Glad to see you back on the board. Yes, Kentucky is still part of the South and still a founding member of the SEC. No, no one has come forth with any proof that Coach is a cheater. Status quo all around, dude.

Yes, he took the UK job just before the NCAA rehashed their investigation into Derrick Rose, and stripped Memphis of their wins and FF appearance.
You're not going to see WWW sitting behind the UK bench giving $100 handshakes to recruits during the game. That's not how he operates.

Right, the UK job. Wouldn't he take it any time it was offered to him?

Kentucker, I grew up a Memphis fan and got my MBA from there during Cal's time there. I buried my head in the sand too, and pretended that Cal wasn't a slimy. He's a snake in the grass, but for 9 years, he was my snake in the grass and we won alot of basketball games. College BBall is a dirty game, and he's the kingpin. No one buys "If the glove don't fit, you must acquit" defense of Cal. I used it for a decade.
