Hey, Alabama fans gonna Alabama fan

I think most level headed fans just realize it's a possibility, not a guarantee. The past 7 years have shown that a halfway decent QB can get Alabama to the big dance.

LOL let's be honest, fans worry about everything. Just the nature of the beast.

I do not think Alabama season hinges at all on qb play, but I would still worry about it

I think Bama's year depends on their defense. The front 7 will be insane again; just not as deep. So, the question remains...

Bama fans have never worried about any position, even when they obviously sucked. They always have the greatest most bestest player at every position.

You forgot to add "that they paid for because Nick Saban is in Mark Emmert's pocket".

Come on, you are slipping.

Unknown QB is always a bit of a concern for any team. If Bama fans are less concerned than you might expect it's simply because of the Saban/Kiffin track record of new QB's at Bama. They seem to be able to take average QB talent and win titles with it. Bama has nothing but blue-chip QB's on the roster now, so theoretically it should at least be on par with past results from the position.

Biggest concerns for me this year are OL, Adam Griffith not getting another case of the shanks, and depth at LB. Feel good about everything else.

Trust me they worried. Alabama's luck at QB will hit a wall sooner or later. Doesn't matter if you have a great defense. You will need your QB to step up at some point, see LSU's 11' team here.

Again, a great defense will only carry you so far. Yes Alabama's defense last year was great and by all accounts will be great again even with the players they have lost. They will still need their QB to make play, unlike what ours has been able to do.

Alabama doesn't need a good QB to win. They only need someone halfway competent because they surround QBs with outstanding talent, the most important being the OLines they consistently put together. Even a bad QB can make plays when he has time. It would take someone as bad as Nathan Peterman was at UT and Alabama isn't in a situation where that's likely -- it took us being QB depleted from Dooley plus injuries for Peterman to get in a limited amount of time and had we not burnt Dobbs' redshirt after seeing him play, we'd have played a walkon rather than Nate. Bama would do the same only they've got more QBs on the roster than we had when Peterman saw the field.

As for defenses - an opponent who can't score, can't win.

Have you seen the WRs we have to feed this coming season?

Then you're either 14 or one of the very few adult LSU fans that aren't.

Nobody knows what to expect this season because all we have to go on is what we've seen in the past. There's certainly no evidence as of yet and guarantee that BH has improved enough in the passing game to make a difference.

It's all "Maybe", "Hope" and "If.".........
