Bama has had QBs step up and make the plays when they needed to. No superstar QB's, nothing flashy at the position, not a lot of "luck" to speak of, but with pretty damn good coaching the QBs have done a decent job. They've everyone been productive without being a liability. And they damn sure haven't held the offense back and turned us into one dimensional team. Bama has fielded a very balanced offense that has progressed with the times and made adjustments to the scheme when necessary. That's good coaching.

That's why I'm not worried. I don't see much changing as far as preparation and just down right coaching. Saban/Kiffin (and OC's before Kiffin) have shown that they can adjust from game to game. Saban keeps his finger on the pulse of the offense, but he lets his OC do his job and he makes sure the guys in the trenches do their job.

2009 - won it all with an inexperienced QB.

2014 - won SEC with an inexperienced QB, lost in playoffs.

2015 - won it all with an inexperienced QB.

Because they don't have a proven running back returning and they don't play a complete scrub week one

Worried and with the sad.
This is the end. Saban is sunk.

We're not.

Whoever starts for Bama will be light years ahead of whatever scrub starts for L6U

The great thing about being an Alabama fan right now is we are not worried at all. Alabama has lost 1 or 0 regular season games in 7 out of the last 8 seasons. Basically, our worst case scenario is 2010, when a highly talented team underperformed and ended up 10-3, losing to the eventual national champs by 1 point.

So, we good, my dude. But we 'preciate your concern.

Obviously. You're worried about Bama's.

I would be too if my team couldn't beat Bama even with average QBs (at best.)

At some point, aren't you starting to rely on rather unrealistic expectations?

Do not get me wrong, Alabama has had an amazing and historic run.

But if not for an Arkansas miracle comeback last year, would Alabama have had a chance to win a championship?

I would think most fans are concerned about the qb. Not because he may not be good, but he might make critical turnovers. Even great teams have a hard time recovering if the turn the ball over four or five times.

Looking at it from the outside, I would be worried if Alabama somehow picked the kid with the talent and arm versus the judgement. I doubt that would happen, tbh, but it would be a concern.

Can we worry about 2017 next year?

Kiffin managed to guide Blake Sims to an SECCG and CF playoff. Coker to SECCG and National Championship. If he can take that scrap metal and win, what's he going to do with talent?

Defense is going to be so HAM teams are gonna celebrate first downs not touchdowns.

Anything can happen, but I'm not worried about it.

We had a one loss regular season whether or not Arkansas beat ole miss last year; if that game had gone differently, who knows what would have happened later on, but any reasonable fan will take a one loss season and let the chips fall where they may.
Again, if our QB makes a lot of mistakes and we end up 9-3, it will be a little disappointing, and other fans will give us a hard time, but it really won't be that bad. It's the luxury we have right now.

Actually Im more confident in this QB roster than our previous ones, every QB is atleast a 4 or 5 star, so Im definitely not worried at the talent aspect and I believe most Bama fans aren't. I actually believe we are gonna do way better than what most folks believe of us.

Most teams would be thrilled with that, especially after winning so many titles, that would be the bad season.

But I see a lot who seem to think they are going to the championship no matter who the quarterback is. I just do not see that as the case. Again, I am not criticizing Alabama, but a bad qb( and I am not talking accuracy arm strenght etc but judgement) could easily knock Alabama out of contention.

Any idea who the starting qb will be? I think Saban will go with experience over talent because his model works really well that way.

You left out 2011 when Bama won it all with another inexperienced QB.

Where are you pulling out of your arse that we are worried? Seriously, there have been some issues Bama fans are discussing but QB really isn't one of them. I live smack in the middle of Alabama and have heard no one bring up the QB position.

If you did a list of what we have to have to win a NC, QB ranks after OL, DL, LB's. No, we aren't worried.
Try again.

Nice try; but Harris was at the top of the SEC going into the Bama game. I'm not as worried about my team's QB.

Really?

Because all we heard was that the reason you guys lost to us was because Harris wasn't a good QB.

what? Go ahead and link that.

People were blaming play calling and shitty OL play far more than Harris as the reason for losing that one.
