Still not 100%, and none of this news is new anyhow. We'll find out in about a year or so what the NCAA finds, and if they find nothing they'll be back at AU for something else. They are mad as frick over Cam and aren't leaving until they find something.

Not very hard to read a couple articles on a story getting national media coverage.

You may not give fricks, and for that I commend you sir, but some of your buddies clearly do. Worthy topic for discussion IMHOFWIW.

It was not a violation. It was one of those "Not illegal but lame" things. Now the NCAA is trying to find something because they got out-lawyered.
Every SEC school skirts the rules but AU did get singled out... with Cam. I don't think whoever is doing it is still doing it, they just did it with Cam and now the NCAA mad as frick.

Neither counselor had a connection with Auburn in anyway. The PE teacher did take him to an un official visit. This would not be a violation as it is common for folks to give rides. At Alabama a known booster gave rides, took a recruit to Florida, etc
The PE teacher is an AU grad and, according to one of the guidance counselors, was the one who requested the grade change. Also, it is not uncommon to give rides to a recruit. It is uncommon to do so without the parent's knowledge or permission.
As for the whole Calloway thing you are clinging to, the relationship between Woodruf and Calloway/Peaches was in place before Brent was classified as a prospect. Woodruf had know Peaches for years and knew Brent when he was a ninth grader. That is how that particular situation remained within NCAA rules even though it was admittedly odd
Allin2010 - I understand your desire to steadfastly defend your program. It would be admirable if it weren't so blatant in the way you completely lose objectivity. If you are as connected as you position yourself on this site then you would know that AU has concerns about this investigation. The compliance dept and some on the staff are considerably more concerned about this than you are. Most AU fans care more about how the compliance dept & coaches view this than they are with you how view it.

If not totally get out of paying, getting some leverage to negotiate it down.

They are not concerned. If you actually had any inside connection you would know that. You like to appear to know what is going on at Auburn, but you have never been credible.

Ok. Whatever you say, champ. They are all being fired and have concerns over buyout. Some should have bigger concerns.
As for never being credible, I could not care less if you think this or not. I can assure you I have enough close connections to coaches and agents to know what the perception is among those communities regarding that staff, the soon to be open jobs, and - among coaches in the SEC - the recruiting tactics of some on the AU staff. I'll accept an apology when Troop has trouble finding a decent job in 2 months.
