Right, but the point is, Auburn is the only party that was sent the forged transcript. The Memphis CA emails make it clear that when the teacher caught the mistake in May, it was corrected before the transcripts were sent out. Sometime after this, the second guidance counselor changed the grades again and Auburn ends up with a copy of the fraudulent transcript, a transcript that did not match the NCAA's, Notre Dames, and the high schools own records. Those are facts, regardless of when or why Notre Dame's name ends up in the story. You guys are asking the wrong questions.

Of course not, which is the reason for the blunder getting caught.

Yes because we all know bama would never do anything shady for a recruit, only the barn does that kind of thing.

What does that have to do with anything?
Posted on 11/23/12 at 10:50 am to TideSatchel
The fact is, Auburn itself questioned why the grades it received were different.
This just sounds like a rogue booster or fan which I am sure Alabama fans are familiar with.

I disagree. The others are still doing 90. They either have better radar detectors, or they are being escorted by the authorities.

Also, why would N.Dame send a transcript to the NCAA? That is not the normal process. The high school sends the transcript to the NCAA clearinghouse, it is not provided by the University. I know this was in the article, but it proves nothing. Auburn would never know what was sent to ND.

If what you are saying is true, it would seem Auburn is the victim. The NCAA originally cleared Jovon. Logic would then tell me that the transcript that ND and the NCAA would have in their position would have showed him being eligible.

This kid never played a down of football for Auburn, they backed away from him as soon as this shite broke.
Not saying theres no chance the NCAA won't find something but if they do it won't be from this.

I think it wasn't clear at that point something shady went on and enrolling a kid with fraudulent grades is not an NCAA violation... playing him is.

quote:Not entirely true. Auburn called the high school in June about the discrepancy on the transript. They then allowed Robinson to enroll in August and practice with the team. It wasn't until the NCAA contacted the high school, confirmed the grade change, and ruled him ineligible that Auburn pulled him off the practice field.

quote:This contradicts the emails. The emails outline the illegal grade change being confirmed in an audit of the grades in June after Auburn contacted the school questioning the discrepancy in the transcript.
