That doesn't make it an illegal block. Just makes it helmet to helmet, which was incidental. It was a legal block.

No, it makes it an illegal block. If a block is/should be flagged, it makes it illegal.

You are dense as frick. Go look at the other 3 pages in the thread where it is explained in full that head of officials for the SEC said it was an illegal hit.

In that same quote, he says they have to determine if Aaron Murray is classified as a defenseless player. He isn't one.

The SEC was saying a flag should have been thrown in the game just to be safe. They are not saying they have ruled it was an illegal block.

Nope. The block was legal. The helmet to helmet warranted a flag. What makes a block illegal is if you do it from the back or side.

He didnt thrust his helmet into Murrays. After his shoulder and arm made contact with Murrays chest there was incidental helmet contact.

Because there has not been enough talk about it on message boards......they are patiently waiting to see what the fans say. Needs to be more discussion and uproar.

It's amazing how many Gumps know more about the rules than the SEC coordinator of officials, who disagrees with you. Simply amazing.

And this is different from an Ole Miss FS hitting a receiver in the seam right before the end zone, where he already left for the hit before the WR gave up on the ball? Where no helmet to helmet occurred?

If Slive is not a dirty bastard, he will suspend Dial just like he did Elston. If not then it just proves, just like the suplex, that Bama can get away with more shite than anyone else.

The difference is the WR was defenseless. Murray was not.

He hasn't been suspended because certain people have been paid off. I know that my family has been writing checks to certain people for decades now, Tom Ritter more recently. We allow people like Slive a good amount of plausible deniability in these cases.

However, after reading this thread I have decided that he deserves to be suspended, and have put a stop on the check. Expect an announcement as early as Friday.

Everyone knows that QB's are worth more than everyone else, they are always defenseless. You just can't tee off on a QB. Dial is an idiot for trying to take a cheap shot and should be suspended for it.

You think if Ray Lewis did what Dial did to Tom Brady he would play the next game?
