I'm assuming the fashion industry, which is the only place you could wear a suit like that and not get laughed out of the building. I understand the fashion aspect of it, but unless you are in the "industry" or are a celebrity, you can't wear shite like that in the real business world.

I see business professionals where suits that fit like mine/Jessie's all the time. Not the crazy/bright color schemes/patterns etc, but it certainly is becoming more the norm in the business world. Depending on where you work and the culture of your business, you would have a much higher likelihood of getting laughed at if you wore a suit jacket that fit like the "Frank" picture from earlier than Jesse's.

Well you never know when you're gonna have to change a flat tire in the winter. So for reasons like that I always have to have some flexibility.

Workin the floor at Dillard's huh?

I would never buy a suit from Dillard's, let alone work there. And no, I don't "work the floor."

EDIT: Although, I did sell in college. It did prove to be a solid foot in the door.

My slacks aren't that short or tight, but jacket, tie and shirt are comparable.

But I have about three changes of clothes in my office and change my look depending on who I'm meeting or where I'm going that hour.

Well, I guess the term "business world" or "business professional" may have different meanings to different people.

When I say business world, I mean legal, banking, etc..

Real estate these days.

Before that I was in marketing and spent some time traveling the world as a freelance writer while I waited on the economy to right itself.

No, without going into too much detail, I manage a location for my company now and am currently training for a multi-unit position opening soon.

Okay. I can see that type of suit for real estate. Real estate is essentially a modeling job. Instead of modeling people, you model structures and/or land.

Absolutely too tight. I've seen a lot of comments on it this week. And he really was showing 3 inches of shirt cuff at one point. Looked horrible.

Well, you have to sell yourself in listing appointments and if you are trying to land say an exclusive right to sell for a 100-lot development (please let that one come through).

It's all about feeling confident.

It's why I pay $40 for a haircut, spend too much on clothes, and drive a nice car.

But like I said, it's better being a man than a woman. I dated a woman that had her t-shirts altered (tailored).

Sorry BamaChick, but he's in a very small minority of ESPN personalities that DOESN'T look stupid (apparel-wise anyway). The ones who look stupid are the ones that waddle out there in 3-button suits that are a size too big, have sleeves down past the break of their wrists, have baggy pleated pants, etc.

fricking this. He's like the only dude from that organization that actually wears a nicely tailored suit. Everyone else at espn looks like a moron, specifically the former athlete personalities. It's really sad.

Yep, I'm amazed at how many people on tv have such terribly fitting suits. It blows my mind that they don't have one suit that fits halfway decent. What I see the most are baggy suits, pants far too long, and jacket sleeves so long that the shirt sleeves are a good inch or two up inside the jacket.

It's not like they need to spend thousands either. A cheap suit and and a decent tailor would look years ahead of the crap they wear. I'm no fashion expert but if I were on tv every week I'd at least try.

Exactly.

You can read this thread and tell..

1). Who the poors are; they don't know suits are not suppose to be baggy, loose

2). Who are very fat or really skinny, because if they were ex-athletes or had an athletic figure, they would know suits fit you differently when you have the wider chest and bigger back.

The people who don't understand probably buy suits off the rack at a discount store or a Marshall's and wear them without any alterations.

'Fashion':

Bunch of 20-ish yr old dudes on here talking shite about how Palmer's suit makes sense becasue his jacket looks like one that fit him in Jr. High will be all like next year when 'fashion' completely changes and dictates wearing gunny sacks - 'you poors don't get it it, the burlap is supposed to have a few tears in it"

Howie Long is the best example of how a former athelete with that type of build should wear a suit. If you think this is too baggy then you have never had a bespoked suit crafted. His suits are fit perfectly.
