it is not true that Clemson has always recruited as good as the past 6 years or so.

there is also no reason to believe that Clemson hasn't recruited other good QBs. there were people who said Clemson would drop off once Boyd and Sammy Watkins left.

ALabama wasn't anythign special between 92 and Saban. ALabama fans are the homers because they forget the bad seasons. they were paying those coaches a ton of money too.

i'm sure there were a lot of Alabama fans who didn't want to hire Saban. When Saban was hired, nobody could have known he would win 4 titles, maybe 5 in a short time span. Alabama fans would have been happy with just 1.

i don't understand the bragging about titles won back in the 60s and 70s. it means nothing. coaches would go to school with no national titles if it paid like Alabama pays. lol

I don't think you get it. Between 1983 and 2007, the period between Bryant and Saban, Alabama won 195 out of 292 football games for a 66.78% winning percentage with one National Title in 1992. Hardly the juggernaut program you claim it has always been regardless of the coach. Alabama has been very fortunate to have 2 of the greatest coaches to ever to grace their sidelines, but let's not act like they make the coach. Plenty have gone their with little success. History tells us that you guys will have a down period once Saban leaves. How long it lasts no one knows, but eventually yall will get another good coach to right the ship. In the mean time, just enjoy the ride with Saban as long as yall can.

Translation:

It's not fair for Dabo to possibly want to coach his former team. They have already had enough great coaches. Someone else deserves a turn.

Because Alabama is the better job. Any other brain busters?

Bama is a better program and it would be easier for him to win at Bama.

Youre obviously not a Bama fan and he's not a Clemson fan. The perennial losers like to change their team logo to who ever Bama is playing.

Because Dabo didn't deny his interest in the job in an interview last year, and Clemson's president has publicly speculated that Dabo may go to Alabama if the job were open.

If I was fired from my so called home, especially if it wasn't my fault..no way I want to go back for a little more money when I already make plenty at my new home that really feels just as good as my old home

i'd have a hard time leaving a nice house on Lake Keowee near Blue Ridge mountains to go live in a city like Tuscaloosa. lol nothing against tuscaloosa but it does look like an eyesore on google maps.

Not arguing that

Drop off from what? CU was not a contender with them on the team. I do not remember CU being in the discussion.

It actually does because it demonstrates a program that over the years can sustain. Yes we can have our down years and we still survived the three Mikes and look where we are once again.

The man made lake is what 800ft above see level and the rolling hills around there are not part of the Blue Ridge Mtns. That is like Vol fans that say Knoxville is in the Great Smokies.

Good lord, fellow. Saban and Swinney are consumed by football most of the year and will spend 16 hours a day or more in the office or on the way to it. They're not water skiing or watching the ducks fk. And when it's those few days of off season for them, they have the money and wherewithal to spend some time at a lot nicer places than some lake in South Carolina, though Saban does have a really nice place on Lake Burton in North Georgia.

i love how you act like you speak for people you don't even know. lol the man lives on lake Keowee. he would be leaving a lake mountain resort vibe to go live in tuscaloosa.

i have never gottne the sense that he really cares that much about Bama at this point.

Well, in the category of goofy things you hear on a message board, it pales in comparison to Clemson being as good a job as The University of Alabama, for a football coach.

i think they are equal jobs except Bama probably pays more. you can talk about past titles all you want but that past titles don't win football games now.

if a program can land players like Watson and Boyd and Sammy Watkins, etc from out of state, it probably on the same level with Bama as a coaching job.

Clemson has a 3 recent conference titles and two playoff apperances. what would alabama provide a coach that is already winning a lot, unless it is only money.

Your football field is named after an ex Alabama player, your only national title was won by an ex Alabama player, and your current team is coached by an ex Alabama player. Without the tradition of Alabama you'd be Wake Forest.

edit: Well, without the academics.

you are taking the accomplishments of people and giving credit to Uni of Alabama. lol that's a homer.

Clemson is a lot better school than Wake Forest, a tiny liberal arts school at the undergrad level. like you can compare two colleges you didn't go to. lol
