i'm baffled as to how anybody can think Bama is a superior job to Clemson though

Oh, maybe because Alabama has won more games, on the field, than any other team since 1925. Or maybe because Alabama has won more titles, by any measure, than any other team since 1900. Or maybe because no other team since integration has any team ever won 4 national titles in 7 years. Just a few reasons why most college football fans think Alabama is a superior job to Clemson.

alabama is one of the most sanctioned teams in college football history. u guys always leave that out of your marketing propaganda though. lol

i think anybody talking about wins and titles in the 70s and prior is kind of a dbag. lol it is not relevant to what is happening now. Clemson is winning a lot of games. obviously it is a viable place to coach.

in my view and many others including sports announcers, Clemson has the best pre-game traditions.

You don't know Dabo. Things change when you have a family and built relationships in an area.

Dabo should stay at Clempson. He has the chance to be the Les Miles of Clempson.

Does clemson leave their multiple probations in the 1970s and 1980s out of "marketing propaganda"?

I don't know him anymore than the next guy, but to say it's a sure thing that he would leave for Bama is bogus.

LOL...OK.

You're right, the SEC sucks...lol.

Clemson is the best job in America!

But just so you know...

Every ounce of success your program has ever had is tied to the University of Alabama.

From Frank Howard, to Danny Ford to Dabo Swiney. Without those 3 former Alabama Players and Coaches...your program is shite...That's right shite..S-H-I-T.

Go bang your head on Howards rock...maybe it'll knock some sense in to you.

Dabo has done a great job...I think he's got the best team in America this year. But don't ever kid yourself...

Clemson is the minor leagues compared to the University of Alabama in Football. It's not a discussion or even a debate.

Alabama is Alabama. PERIOD!

i don't see or hear CU always talking about the 81 natioal title or saying CU is best coaching job in country, etc. It is alabama always doing this bragging propaganda stuff, citing wins from decades ago. I think programs like Pitt won national titles back in the day but they aren't considered destination jobs now.

Nothing is ever a sure thing. If that's the case, Bobby Bowden would have been hired in 1989.

But we are also talking about something 5-10 years from now. Could be a completely different landscape.

ok i saved this to my computer in case little ol Clemson pulls it off and gets the W. lol

again, you are take the accomplishments of people who left Alabama and saying they are the accomplishments of Alabama or Auburn. that makes no sense. and they left alabama to go to Clemson. lol they thought it was a step up obviously.

i never said Clemson is 'best job in America'. I said it is as good a job as Alabama and other large state schools in the south. nice stadium, nice facilities, good geographic location, nice weather, good fan and university support, has the most ACC titles, etc.

With good reason.

Because Alabama has double digit national championships. If Clemson had more than one, they might be in a position to brag.

Pitt won ONE national title after 1937 just like Clemson has won ONE national title since then. Neither merits consideration as a destination job, and neither compare to Alabama.

ok so why only one title between 79 and 2009? 1 title in 30 years. lol

Let's look at some of Alabama's old title wins:

1973
Alabama 11–1 Bear Bryant B(QPRS), UPI
Michigan 10–0–1 Bo Schembechler NCF, PS
Notre Dame 11–0 Ara Parseghian AP, BR, FN, FWAA, HAF, NCF, NFF
Ohio State 10–0–1 Woody Hayes NCF, PS, R(FACT), SR
Oklahoma 10–0–1 Barry Switzer CFRA, DeS, DuS, SR

so they were pick the winner or co-winner that year by polls.

Clemson was only undefeated regular season major program last year and would have easily won title in pre-BCS era.

unless you are talking about money, and I assume Bama can pay more, i don't see how Alabama is a better place to coach than Clemson.

i have a feeling you are a sidewalk bama fan who never attended college. your knowledge of colleges comes from whatever the US News rankings tell you.

Clemson is better than wake for architecture, engineering, and life sciences. i don't care about the rest of it, and it is a tiny school with like 3000 students undergrad, and a ripoff tuition. you basically will never meet a person who only has an undergrad from a small college like Wake. they all go to med school, law school or some other professional school. it is a school for rich kids basically.
