I honestly think that if CU beats us(which I believe they have a good chance) it will only make the ones who decide on Saban's replacement even more convinced Dabo is the man and throw everything at him to get him to UA. But like Saint said unless if were to happen that Saban leaves within the next few years I doubt Dabo would entertain the idea and as also mentioned he would have to be the first choice.

And then it created all this conference crap..I remember when everyone only cheered for their team..not teams they played and didn't like.

If we can force Watson to throw I like our chances if not I am not sure with the way our O played the other night we can out score CU if Watson goes on a tear for more then a quarter like he did against OSU. We will need to slow the game down by establishing the run.

Last year CU I thought was the better team overall but coaching I think coaching won it for us. This year we have the talent and our D is better then last year and I think your D is not as good.

Either way should be a great game. Especially if we win.

Somehow this thread went from arguing over who has a better football program, history and facilities to how the schools rank academically? I'm lost.

That's what happens when you lose on the field. People start talking about academics or some shite to compensate

not sure how a Gamecock fan is making statements like this. you guys trash CLemson all the time but you typically don't have good teams.

i didn't start the academics discussion.

Clemson hasn't played Alabama very much, at least in the modern era. I can only remember two games and they def. didn't crush Clemson last year.

I wasn't directing it at you. I just see teams go off topic on stuff like that when they lose

it wasn an Alabama fan who went off topic. obviously neither CLemson or Alabama has lost in the playoffs so ur point makes no sense.

UA is currently undefeated so your statement is not accurate here.

I only answered his tirade because he said I never attended college and then he insisted on wanting to know where I went. So I told him and next he stated Clemson was better then both and eventually got talking only about 3 specific programs to one of the colleges I attended. he re was his quote for and earlier page.

quote:

ok, I don't Berkeley and UNC are better than Clemson for academics. UNC doesn't even have engineering and architecture programs.

Since I was proving him wrong on everything he said since it was all liberal opinion only his opinion counted. And for the record I think Clemson is a good school he is the one that got all defensive about it.

The only thing I learned was that Tillman is a bandwagon fan who knows very little about CU prior to Dabo coming. I think he is from Walhalla or Six Mile or somewhere in that area and why he may be a Clemson fan.

you said Clemson wasn't as good as Wake, UNC, Berkeley. i responded to that.

i can't see a Alabama person having gone to both UNC and Cal. something doesn't add up about your story.

you are obviously a butthurt Hillary supporter b/c you keep acting like I said something about liberals on this topic and I didn't. why don't you go to a protest in Chapel Hill and let some steam off. lol

I told you I paid for instate which I was stationed in CA when got out of the Corps so it made sense especially since I got in and moved to Asheville afterwards to be close to family and start my business. I enjoy fly fishing to much to not be near trout water when I have the chance. Hence why I kept the house in Asheville even though I no longer live there to have place to stay once a month when we head back up there.

You are the only one that seems butthurt. I am not the only person you have gotten defensive with.

And for the record I voted for Nick Saban for President since NC allows me to put in any name I want for President. So not butthurt about Hillary or Trump but indifferent I guess you could say. But keep trying because you seem very annoyed.

that's why you keep bring up 'liberal' even though i never said anything about liberals. I did say 'liberal arts' but that not about politics.

i don' tthink the definition of 'defensive' is disagreeing with somebody else. You stated Wake, UNC, and Berkeley were better colleges than Clemson. I disagree with that and I think Clemson is as good as all of them. You accusing me of being defensive is a passive aggressive debate tactic.

I think Bryant said in an interview he loved what he had going at A&M and responded because.... well frankly Alabama was TERRIBLE, like worse than anything DuBose, Shula produced, we're talking winless seasons. He came because "Mama Called" and it was an emergency.

Had Alabama been doing just fine and simply had a coaching vacancy, I can't say for sure that he'd have been on the next train to Tuscaloosa. (though I think his career would have taken him home at some point).

Why would anyone in their right mind want to follow up Saban?
