So why is it circled on your teams calendar then?

Alabama's football team has a calendar?...who's in charge of it?....where do they keep it?

Mostly this. Alabama just has the most talented team that LSU faces every year and it shows.

Probably helps them a lot more to have the 2 weeks off before the game than it helps us. They have a better coach, and take every opponent's biggest shot in every game of their season. I bet the off week is welcomed by their players.

Miles for some time now has hyped up this game for an enitre week as opposed to treating it as another week of football, and for whatever reason the players seem to come out playing tight, particularly on offense, as if Miles sucked the life out of the offensive gameplan on gameday.

Because Nick Saban knows how good LSU is/can be....
Bammers can deny it, but Nick knows it

When they play in LA I think it's because of the post game poon tang they know their gonna get in red stick.

Was that the correct answer?

Didn't read any of the posts in the thread but the OP.

So I have to ask, and for all I know others asked you this already: Why do you have to convince yourself that Alabama somehow plays harder against LSU than against other teams?

They are just that much better than you. They're that much better than all of us right now.

It won't last forever, but right now they have Nick Saban which means that they are going to stay better than everyone else. Once Saban leaves they will probably stay very good but they will no longer be gods among mortals.

We don't have to be insecure about it. It's much healthier and better on the soul to just accept the fact that Nick Saban is a coach the likes of whom the world has never seen before. As long as he's coaching college football, whatever team he's the head coach of will just be amazing. Nick Saban could win a national championship at Kentucky. Nick Saban is the best coach to have ever lived. In any sport. In any country.

They don't play harder against you guys than they do against other teams. Your losses to them aren't due to some special motivation they get by playing LSU. Just like the last two arse whoopings that my Gators took to them was nothing but good old fashioned annihilation.

There is nothing else to it. There is no mystique, no secret, no special facts other than the only fact that matters: Alabama is far, far better than any of us.

The only way to beat them consistently is to have a very good defense and a transcendent quarterback like Deshaun Watson. I'm not sure what voodoo gods Ole Miss sacrificed a baby to in order to beat them twice in a row, but that's the outlier and was probably nothing more than plain old luck.

We're all just waiting for Nick Saban to retire. Acknowledge it, accept it, and be at peace.

I'm likely going to be accused of slobbing on Saban's knob but shite guys, everything I've said is the damn truth. Alabama is a great, historic program with history that few other programs can stand up against. The reason for their success right now however isn't the fact that they are Alabama. It's fricking Nick Saban.

The change is in. Ole Miss beat them with QB play and so did Clemson. We have a new offense in the works it will just take a while to get the QB needed to win.

It's possible. It's going to take a whole lot of luck, though, because generational quarterbacks don't grow on trees. For every Tim Tebow, Cam Newton, Deshawn Watson, or Vince Young there are a billion other guys who just will not get it done.

Ole Miss winning two in a row was purely, 100% luck. The odds of that happening were probably so minuscule that it would make our heads spin to hear them.

It doesn't matter. It just really doesn't matter what kind of mindset the team has going into that game. Nick Saban teams are just far better then the rest of us. If he had stayed at LSU I have no doubt that the Tigers would have had the same kind of success that Alabama is seeing right now.

Bama plays some of its worst games against LSU while LSU usually plays over its head.

I don't think anyone really denies it except for trolling. But no matter how good LSU is or can be, it's still a second tier game behind Auburn and Tennessee for the majority of the fanbase. Sorry, but it's true.
